Hi Kathy,
At 7:20 am in the morning here in Newfoundland as my wife was just checking into Adland before heading off to work she was informed of this post which she immediately woke her hubby, myself of course, lol, up and told me to read.
You see as many people here at Adland already know and many more are soon to find out, myself and a group of good friends and caring Adlanders have come together to create a Non-Profit Club at the moment which will soon be dealing with these types of issues along with many others, here in our fine community. IMU: Internet Marketers Unite is a place to unite and it does not matter what your background, past affiliations, creed, or religion, this means so much to my wife because she just endured with my support a case of harrassment at her outside professional job, and together we conquered it, although the support she recieved from those supposed professionals who should have been there to care was extremely lacking.
This is a part of what lead me to the creation of IMU, you see I am a firm believer that way too much abuse of power has been happening on the Internet just as it has in my wifes job for 4 years before we brought it to a grinding hault and I am here to tell you that this is about to all come to a stop.
I personally wish to take the time at this point to announce that IMU shall be taking this situation very seriously and calling on all members to do the same and of course asking that the powers in our community come together and put a stop to this harrassment and bullying at once.
Isnt it supposed to be a belief of TEAM, Together Everyone Achieving More, why has it become a situation where some are being intimidated by a minority. I would like to take the moment at hand to call on all Adlanders to stand together and tell those with the power to put this to an end to do so.
Over the last couple of weeks myself and the IMU family of both veteran and newbie members, have been working on bringing a number of free programs and services to the people of Adland, and my wife anted me to invite you to join our group and work with me to set up some sort of a community watch program where together we can keep a close and firm hand on what has been happening in the community we so much care about and love.
You see my wife may not be much of a Marketer as such, lol, but she has fallen in love with our close knit community and wishes to see it return to the place that it was intended to be, and as a newbie herself she does not want to see anyone else taken advantage of in this way.
