O.K. Just a little warning first. My poetry tends to be a bit dark because I use it as a form of therapy. My process is this: I feel it, I write about it, I create artwork out of it, and then I release it. lol. Anyway, without further ado...
"Portrait in Black"
Fading, transient reflection,
Darkness flooding tempestuous eyes,
Cracked glass transmutation,
Frozen shards of gray and ice.
Disconsolate, screaming aura,
Blackening corporeal form,
Spirits fall to benighted aurora,
And a deepening absence of warmth.
Icicles fly through the sky like arrows,
Brutally falling to broken ground,
Piercing through Mother's marrow,
Bursting veins of Earthly blood.
Flooding, scathing mirror,
Painted all in black,
A portrait of myself,
And everything I lack.
