Business Tips

Hi everyone, I am starting this thread so you can share business tips that have been of benefit to you in your business. One of my favorite tips is... SAVE the text of your Adlandpro home page and forums in a Notepad document on your computer. There is nothing more frustrating than to accidentally delete the contents of your page and have to start over from scratch. If you have the text and html code saved in a Notepad document, you can revise and copy & paste any time you want to update your page. Hope that saves you some frustration. Also... if you are preparing a message to be posted, create it in a Notepad document instead of directly on the Adlandpro website. That way, if anything interrupts your internet connection or you hit the wrong key or move your mouse the wrong way (been there, done that!), you will have all your valuable time preserved in your Notepad document. Hope you find that helpful! What would you like to share to day? I will pick some of the best tips to post in my newsletter with credit to the author... so let the sharing begin!

Thank you. !!! Been there and done that too! Tip: I also keep a 5 subject notebook by the computer. I put notes in it about businesses, important things, downline, etc. I have trouble keeping up and remembering. Linda sweetprofits

Hi, This is a great topic Linda .. thanks for the invite! "Safe and Sound" Tip... Do You know how to tell if a Website is safe when using your credit card? A site is a secure site if its Web address also has an “s” after the “http:” part. That is: “https:” instead of “http:” At first a site YOU want to buy something at only shows the usual "http:" the “s” will appear as soon as YOU get to the page on the site where YOU will type in your credit card # or any other personal information. If you're using Internet Explorer YOU should see a gold padlock - your on secure Websites! Other browsers, Netscape etc., will use an unbroken key. Warm Regards

Thanks for a great forum Linda. I am looking forward to lots of useful tips. Something I do is write down my needed information in an address book. I have the name of the program or website, my affiliate link if I am an affiliate, my password, and user name. I also save this information in my documents on the computer. I use lots of different passwords in case an unfriendly person figures one out somehow. That way not all my information is compromised. DonnaZ

Hi Linda, this is great. I paste a lot into notepad but I didn't think to do that with the whole page I was working on. I sometimes am copying and pasting from my other website to the mini webpage.... that is great advice... Here's my tip: If you can, put an ottoman or foot rest to elevate your feet while you work at your computer. Get that pressure off of the back of your legs just above the knees! Stand up & stretch! Blink! Smile! If you exercise your smile muscles they'll keep your face happy! Beth
