I've never cared much about being politically correct. In the days before politically correct was in fashion, I was taught that "man" means "mankind" which encompasses the entire human race. My pet peeve with "political correctness" is that it teaches people "what to say" instead of "how to think". If more people knew how to think, we wouldn't have to teach them what to say. : ) L P.S. There's a gal that republished a fine piece of writing from the early 1900s. (public domain) In the "preview chapter" I noticed that she changed all the "masculine" terminology (he/him/man) to make it politically correct. I was disgusted. She ruined a classic, in my humble opinion. I'd rather read it as it was written, so I went and found the original. heh.

I do get some mail sometimes wondering why I say the things I say - it's called telling the truth, even if it hurts. It's nice to be thought of as nice, and I like to think I am, but I'd rather be thought of as honest first.
