Here is the latest update from Lola: From Lola Vanslette: Re: Your Update Tonight Date:3/6/2006 Hi Shannon, I went in this morning, and he was sitting up, off the oxygen and watching tv. I spent 3 hours with him, getting him to tell me if he could feel his feet, hands, cheeks and had him lift his arm 5 times. He did, but it was hard. Then when I went back after lunch, the therapist was there and said no one could get him to respond on his right side. I told her about this morning, then told him to hold mom's hand, which I held out of reach. He reached up and grabbed it. She was surprised. I don't know why?? I'll go back after his nap, but that was where we were a couple of hours ago. Your friend, Lola

Great news my WOSAT friends about Stephen Well, Larry, I found out just how stubborn my so really is! After being with him today, and having him raise his arms, do "tricks" letting me know if he can feel on his right side, etc..the therapist came in and couldn't get him to respond, and said the nurse couldn't and the rehab nurses couldn't. Now if that isn't stubborn, I don't know what is. He got mad at me earlier, because I scolded him a couple of times for trying to pull out the hoses. He actually "gritted" and turned red because I was holding him back. I feel he will be fine, but he will definitely need therapy for his right side of his face. He doesn't do much responding on that side. Though he smiles on the left, he can't seem to make it go farther. That is how it stands for now. Thanks for listening, Lola
