Viral subway singer shuts down the 'Late Late Show' with stunning performance

Music may not be easy, but Mike Yung (born Michael Young) has the range to make it look effortless.

The singer, who performs solo and with groups Dejá Blue, Majestic K Funk and Whispers and Sounds, became a veritable Internet sensation after he shared a video of his impassioned take on the Righteous Brothers’ Unchained Melody last week. Filmed on an MTA platform, Yung's humble performance was so moving that Carpool Karaoke mastermind James Corden offered him a full ride to the Late Late Show — which Yung accepted.

"This is something that got me so excited," Corden said on Wednesday before introducing the viral star. "I don’t know if you’ve seen this video, but it’s everywhere online. A man was filmed on a subway platform in New York, singing his heart out to Unchained Melody. If you haven’t seen it, you’ve got to see it."

Corden then teased the original clip before bringing out Yung to recreate his breathtaking rendition.
