Jan (aka) Jaz Green:
I just made this up ~ Ah ha moment!
(I did not make the graphic)
"The decisions one makes today ... trickles toward one's tomorrow"
... moments ago, I was conversing with my "future daughter-n-law" I PRAY about people my age thinking about retirement and folks at least five years older; who have already retired.
Some of my newly retired acquaintances are just now feeling the shock of managing on a fixed income for they did not think about 'living without their working annual wages'
NOTE:
My spouse retired in 1999 (our baby was in elementary school, my eldest grandson was born)
* cleared all outstanding debt, immediately after his retirement via 're-mortgage' and a nice cash sum to support household budget just as though he was still working
Unforeseen: My health started deteriorating in 2000, I resigned in December 2004
* in diminished health
Now recovering from TANKED health -- I have President Obama to thank for that,
because the first thing he did was expand Veteran Healthcare beyond service-connected
ratings (my rated disability has been compensated since June 1976)
Thus, the decision to join the ARMY in my youth is currently taking care of my current healthcare (FREE)
--- the decision to zero out debt, immediately after my spouse retired was a blessing when my health declined
--- our baby boy had Daddy and Mommy full-time everyday on to this present day
--- he is a SUPER decent, independent young man who has chosen a SUPER STAR
for his girlfriend (future daughter-n-law ~ I PRAY)
