I love conversations with my babies who are now adults (24[baby boy], 34[daughter] & 37[eldest son])

Yesterday, my eldest son returned from his trip to Washington, DC for tapings a program to be aired in the fall on BET.

During our conversations, we saw a commercial of a local mega-pastor on the BET TV station. I disagreed with the following words in his sermon "god program you to be"

I asked my eldest son, "What is wrong with that group of words?" ... he immediately replied; "God gave us free will"

I had to jump up; give him a hi-five and scream

My mother predominately reared my eldest two children, from previous marriage ... they and I have had the same spiritual training ...

I thank Abba Father constantly for my children and most of all witnessing them being independent and taking care of themselves; their relationships with their family and friends ...

I am claiming coined quote, just responded to community member post in talk.

This is also my own coined phrase ... originally my computer profile banner, when I worked at VAMC-Atlanta (1987 - 2004)

Right now, I am enjoying some classic YouTube

Etta James, Gladys Knight and Chaka Khan - Ain't Nobody Business (live BB King & Friends)

Thank GOODNESS for modern technology, that turns my laptop
into Hi Fidelity Sound via speaker attachments ...

I can hardly wait to see my eldest son on BET's Gospel Special this Fall ...

Claiming my newly created wisdom quote

Jan (aka) Jaz Green:

I just made this up ~ Ah ha moment!

(I did not make the graphic)

"The decisions one makes today ... trickles toward one's tomorrow"
[quote me: Jan aka Jaz]

... moments ago, I was conversing with my "future daughter-n-law" I PRAY about people my age thinking about retirement and folks at least five years older; who have already retired.

Some of my newly retired acquaintances are just now feeling the shock of managing on a fixed income for they did not think about 'living without their working annual wages'

NOTE:

My spouse retired in 1999 (our baby was in elementary school, my eldest grandson was born)

* cleared all outstanding debt, immediately after his retirement via 're-mortgage' and a nice cash sum to support household budget just as though he was still working

Unforeseen: My health started deteriorating in 2000, I resigned in December 2004

* in diminished health
  • started self-employment in February 2005
  • excelled in networking beyond the economy crash in 2008
Now recovering from TANKED health -- I have President Obama to thank for that,
because the first thing he did was expand Veteran Healthcare beyond service-connected
ratings (my rated disability has been compensated since June 1976)

Thus, the decision to join the ARMY in my youth is currently taking care of my current healthcare (FREE)

--- the decision to zero out debt, immediately after my spouse retired was a blessing when my health declined

--- our baby boy had Daddy and Mommy full-time everyday on to this present day
--- he is a SUPER decent, independent young man who has chosen a SUPER STAR
for his girlfriend (future daughter-n-law ~ I PRAY)
