Re: How you can make or break Adland as we know it...

Hi Linda, you had put a proper prospect on "how we should manage our emails with AdlandPro". I have not had an opportunity to fully explore everything connected with the latest from AdlandPro, but thanks anyway, Warmest regards,

Hi Peter, You raise an interesting point of view and I offer a little twist to it. As you suggest, if some people are like a sheep and get mislead, althought I think some very smart people can be mislead, why put the blame on the sheep. It is natural for people to be open and allow trust to build between people. To me, the leader, company or whatever individual that is recruiting or puts up an Open For Business sign, they too need to accept responsibility and suffer some consequences for their activities. There will always be people that are vulnerable and I suggest that any one of us is vulnerable in something. I am a big believer of buyer beware but when society has regulations in place to combat questionable activities and it seems that these questionable activities are seldom challenged by the regulators, then the problem points to the system and not the individual. I am sure you are aware that many people have loss many thousands of dollars because they were led to believe their jobs and/or investments in a company were safe. Yet the company went bankrupt. The people running the company were crooks and we find out later that regulators, commissions, law enforcement, and the likes were warned well in advance of impending problem or fraud. I think there is a systemic problem in the internet world and it requires a systemic solution. Just thought I would share my opinion in defence of the less informed individual trying to make some extra money. Jack

Hi Jack, Well stated as usual and I do agree with what you said. That being said however I do feel that if people avoid the practice of due diligence and just do not bother to look further into the situation before diving in with both feet then they are the Sheeple that I refered to. Further to that is when they ignore warnings or advice from others and then when the bottom falls out they point fingers at everyone else and fail to see that the only place where the blame should be placed is directly upon their own shoulders. They will quickly look to blame someone or something else and claim foul when it could have been avoided if they paid attention to the signs before they dove in blindly. Then we have the people that actually tell the forwarners to back off and mind their own business. I agree that people can fall into many pitfalls but they do not need to if they take a little time in advance and do their homework before they end up in a bad situation. If claims are made in advance then it is very easy to either validate the claims or negate them with a little research. It is the research that people do not want to do, they are blinded by visions of grandure and dollar signs. Now once the research is done and you are able to see the truth you go with it, you try to inform others and if they decide not to listen then when the bottom falls out should we listen to them? They were advised, warned, informed and they only had to read and perhaps follow a link or teo to solid information that bore the evidence of the claims or statemnets as they were made. As an example; right here in Linda's forum there were a number of times when links and information were supplied to show that auto surfs "might" be considered ponzi schemes. People made choices to not listen but followed the dollar signs and are now placing the blame for what is currently happening on the wrong people. The blame for their loss in this case rests squarely on their own shoulders. Even with the current news stories and the links to them people cannot see the facts and choose to blame the wrong people. These are the SHEEPLE of the world that will follow along in various "adventures" without doing the ground work in advance.

Hi Peter, I believe we are in total agreement. Your point is well taken and it's true one has to come to a realization that they may not be well suited for the adventure they pursue. I know I have pushed my level of knowledge in many areas to a limit by being a Jack of all trade, pun intended and in time I am gradually improving my desired results by being more focused on the specific areas that I accept total responsibility. I look forward to our next exchange of thoughts. Jack

Hi Peter, I am reminded of a quote which says: "I am more afraid of an army of 100 sheep led by a lion than an army of 100 lions led by a sheep." - Charles-Maurice de Talleyrand I think a lot of people end up feeling sheepish when they realize somebody has been lion to them - LOL! Gary Simpson
