I'm leaning towards the colors I had before years ago. The living room was a deep purple with white doors and baseboards and such and the room it opened into was a cayenne pepper color also with the white. I like that
I still have a lot of time to decide.

If your landlord will let you, get a rough sponge, or ball up some newspapers..... get a different color of paint, dip the sponge or newspaper in it, and gently tap it along the walls to give them a "textured" look.

You can do the ceilings like that also.
