Martha, Never assume that someone wouldn't be interested in your subject! While they may have never crafted with gourds before, they may know of someone who does or would like to. Or they might take up the hobby if they knew about it. Or their spouse might. You never know! How about taking up one of the beautiful or clever ones you have crafted as your logo...would that generate interest? I vote for the cat, but then I love cats. Now, who would have known that about me from my posts here? See, you never know. Cheri

Hi Martha, Actually, I was quite intrigued by your gourds. It's something I've never seen before. I'm just trying to figure out a way to introduce my mother to them (she will having nothing to do with computers). I think they would be right up her alley as she loves that kind of hobby (not to mention she also grows gourds for her friends). I think a newsletter is quite a good idea, but in my humble opinion it has to be regular. Of course regular doesn't mean you "have" to send one out a week. One every two weeks, one every month or every other month. Timing is irrelevant so long as it's consistent. If you can put together a good informative newsletter people will be waiting for it and they will mention it to their friends.

Winston, My idea was to get one out every month but it's probably been more like 6 a year right now. Seeing as how I am getting good response witht the shopping cart now I think I will try a little harder to get one put together more often. That is great your mother grows them. They are fun to watch grow and see what you end up with. Cheri, Yes I never think about someone passing information along. I would love to do something with my decorated gourds for a logo but am not good enough with my photo software. My son probably could but he is always so busy with his own businesses. Martha

-------------------------------------- That is great your mother grows them. They are fun to watch grow and see what you end up with. ---------------------------------------- My mother grows EVERYTHING! :-) She actually has people come by and ask for tours through her little garden during the summer and early fall months. In the winter however you can usually find her at the kitchen table with some kind of craft. For the past two years it's been rock painting. Very unique, just like your gourds. She's painted some amazing scenes on the face of a rock. Her only problem is, she needs a rock quarry in her back yard! LOL

Winston and Martha, This is so exciting! See what happens when we really get to know each other? Where's everybody else? Cheri
