Saving Signature Codes

I think it would be good to work on your signature and see which one works the best.

Here is one I want to save before I make a change:

This is something else:

Merry Christmas to all and remember to love your enemies...LOL. Remember the good times and forget the bad. You are what you think about most of the time. Keep you thoughts good. If that means avoiding toxic people, do it. If you have to be in the room with a toxic person, be on the other side of the room. Get into a positive conversation with a smiling person.

Christmas and holiday season, dealing with toxic people, Don Miguel Ruiz, quotes, The four Agreements, toxic people

Hi Ken...just so you are aware..this is a nofollow ( rel="nofollow" ) link. This is a special sort of link that tells Google not to count the link when it crawls a website.

To understand this more
Every so often Google crawls a site(along with all the other sites on the web) and looks at all the links it contains. A regular, normal link on your site is known as a ‘follow’ link because Google will follow that link to see where it points.

If Google finds a link to Site X in a post about coffee, this basically means you have recommended Site X as a good place to find out about coffee. As a result, the site will rank a little higher on Google next time someone searches for ‘coffee’.

Understanding the follow and no follow rules can help you in a variety of ways..so this post is about how you are using the The soaring eagle team in your signature and this is how it looks in html.

I guess at the end of the day regardless of the link you choose to use, remember to always tell your readers when you’re being paid to do something, or have been compensated for writing something.

Just thought I would mention this lol

Thank you Diane,

I have never concerned myself too much about Google crawling or ranking but maybe I should. I have too many other things to think about.

I have to be honest with you. I am an affiliate in a very large number of programs and could potentially get paid a lot of money. However I would have to search long and hard to find where I have been paid any significant amount of money. So why do I do it? Certainly not for the money. I am an affiliate mostly to have access to the tools which allow you to share the programs with your friends and followers. I love sharing Adlandpro and have been an affiliate here since 2005 sometime I believe. You have to have earned at least $35.00 to get paid and my total earnings has not reach that point yet. That is certainly not to discourage anyone from becoming an affiliate. I am sure if you follow the training and do the right things you could get paid. Maybe I could put a disclaimer at the end of every post I make saying , Warning! If you upgrade I will earn a commission. I don't know....is anybody doing that? Most of these programs tell you how much you can make as an incentive to get people to join.

I think I get compensated with credits for showing this banner:

No money though unless someone joins and upgrades.

Could I or should I take the no follow out of the html? I am not even sure if that is a good thing to do or not. My current signature does not have that in it.

Which is better?

Good morning Mark and good morning Ken...I didn't mean to start anything...I just saw the "Nofollow' and it brought me to mind about such a link and what it meant and so I posted.

The fourm signature has a long history about how it could be used and why. At one time it was used as the ONLY way you could advertise yourself or your business. Gaming forums kind of changed those rules in a way to saying something unique about your character ( in the game) and was a great way to show off banners of the game you played ( got that from my one daughter by the way).
Today, I notice that forum signatures can be used for a variety of reasons..from advertising, to branding yourself in some way to having fun.

Whatever the reason, the signature is still a viable way to promoting something on way or another.

For people such as myself..I like having fun with the sigs as I am not affiliating with anything and I dont' own a business..thus I brand me and the added extending to Twitter via the tweet this..is a great way to use forum sigs in a way to reach out to others.

Regardless it is an interesting topic where we can come together and just talk and learn from each other....

going back to my coffee now lol
