Disturbing story from Omaha police: Illegal Immigrant Sergio Perez, who worked as a roofer, knocked 93-year-old woman’s teeth out while raping her. Moral fabric tearing by the seams. https://www.facebook.com/TheYoungCons/posts/10151498317215841

Politics: Has the middle class caught on to Obama's hustle yet?

Published by: Dan Calabrese on Thursday July 25th, 2013

Dan Calabrese

By DAN CALABRESE - There's one born every minute.

Let's start by defining a hustle. Someone is pulling a hustle on you when they constantly try to convince you they offer something that is actually illusory. The hustle can become a career for them if you keep buying it, but in order for that to happen the hustler has to very skillfully convince you that your lack of reward is because of some sinister outside force working against the hustler. If the hustler can pull this off, he can prevent you from recognizing that the offer itself is empty.

That basically describes Barack Obama's relationship with the American middle class. He talks about them endlessly, and constantly derides his political opponents for supposedly favoring everyone but them. But as the Wall Street Journal points out, Obama's actual policies have done nothing but decimate the very middle class they claim to favor. That's because spreading the wealth, rather than focusing on growth, kills opportunity:

What about the middle class that is the focus of Mr. Obama's rhetoric? Each month the consultants at Sentier Research crunch the numbers from the Census Bureau's Current Population Survey and estimate the trend in median annual household income adjusted for inflation. In its May 2013 report, Sentier put the figure at $51,500, essentially unchanged from $51,671 a year earlier.

And that's the good news. The bad news is that median real household income is $2,718, or 5%, lower than the $54,218 median in June 2009 when the recession officially ended. Median incomes typically fall during recessions. But the striking fact of the Obama economy is that median real household income has fallen even during the recovery.

While the declines have stabilized over the last two years, incomes are still far below the previous peak located by Sentier of $56,280 in January 2008. No wonder Mr. Obama is now turning once again to his familiar political narrative assailing inequality and blaming everyone else for it. He wants to change the subject from the results on his watch.

The core problem has been Mr. Obama's focus on spreading the wealth rather than creating it. ObamaCare will soon hook more Americans on government subsidies, but its mandates and taxes have hurt job creation, especially at small businesses. Mr. Obama's record tax increases have grabbed a bigger chunk of affluent incomes, but they created uncertainty for business throughout 2012 and have dampened growth so far this year.

Annualized GDP growth of just 2 percent, which has been the sad hallmark of this administration's economic performance, simply does not create enough jobs, wealth or opportunity to lift the middle class into a better economic situation. Worse: As the Journal points out, because so much of the growth we have experienced has come from the stock market, the sad irony of Obama's policies is that the rich are doing just fine but the middle class are running in place.

The answer to this, liberals will say, is even more redistribution. They will point out that there is money sitting around, and rich people and corporations need to start spending it - hiring people, buying goods, contracting out services, etc. This is the Keynesian "demand side" view of economics - that you can't have demand unless people have money to spend, so the key to growth is to put money in the hands of people who need things, then sit back and watch them spend it.

But the problem with this is that it doesn't create wealth at all. It just attempts to move existing wealth around. The reason corporations sit on cash reserves is that they're looking for ways to invest the cash that will help them grow and become more prosperous. In the Obama economy of 2 percent annualized growth, they don't see it. Obama wants them to hire people just because they have money, but companies don't hire people just because "they can afford it." They hire people because the investment will bring a return. You don't increase wages because of what you think people will spend the money on. You increase wages because the value you directly receive back from the worker results in sufficient return on investment.

That's how you get real growth. That's how you get real wealth creation, and that's when the middle class does well. Democrats are so invested in their class-warfare narrative, they would rather die than admit it's good for the middle class when corporations and rich people do well. They demand that corporations hire, then saddle those who do with additional burdens like ObamaCare and unionization - only to act shocked and befuddled when hiring slows to a crawl or stops.

Yet there is Obama once again, telling the middle class that all they need is more of his "redistributive justice," which is why he is once again vowing to go to war on their behalf against the rich and corporations - the very people who actually could provide the middle class with opportunities if Obama would stop bludgeoning them.

At some point, enough of the middle class will catch on to the hustle that it won't be able to continue, and we will see a shifting of the political grounds. I don't know exactly when that will happen, but I hope it comes before a hustler even more disingenuous than Obama has the chance to take the reins. http://www.caintv.com/has-the-middle-class-had-enoug

Yesterday during a speech on the House floor, Republican Rep. Paul Gosar took a moment to remind everyone of Attorney General Eric Holder's lawless record in the Department of Justice. Gosar has been leading a charge of no confidence against Holder for years and re-introduced his Resolution of No Confidence earlier this year. The Resolution calls for Holder's immediate resignation and has 137 co-sponsors in the House. Holder is still in criminal and civil contempt of Congress.

Mr. Speaker, I rise today to shed light on Attorney General Eric Holder’s blatant disregard for the rule of law.

Mr. Holder’s violations of the law are egregious and he should not be immune from the prosecution or given license to act without restraint.

An ordinary citizen would go to jail for selling guns to Mexican drug cartels.

An ordinary citizen would go to jail for secretly obtaining phone records and emails.

An ordinary citizen would go to jail for lying to Congress about an investigation.

What would happen to an ordinary citizen for lying to a judge?

This is just a small part of what Attorney General Eric Holder is responsible for.

As the Court Justice Brandeis said, “In a government of laws, the existence of the government will be imperiled if it fails to observe the law scrupulously…. If government becomes a lawbreaker it breeds contempt for law: it invites every man to become a law unto himself. It invites anarchy.”

I ask you, has Attorney General Eric Holder invited anarchy?

I will continue to make this case here in the People’s House at the People’s Pulpit.

And folks, I will be back.
In an op-ed for the Washington Times today, Gosar expanded on his comments.

It is no surprise that America has lost faith in its chief law enforcement officer, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. The high-profile scandals at Mr. Holder’s Department of Justice are serious enough to warrant firing the attorney general. As the chief law enforcement official of our nation, Mr. Holder is expected to comply with the highest standards of ethics, competence and honesty. He is to follow the principle of seeking justice. As a sworn federal official, he has one primary job — to enforce the laws of the United States fairly and impartially. Instead, Mr. Holder has overlooked actual injustices, and has acted less than ethically and honestly.

Let us start with Operation Fast and Furious — the government-sanctioned gunrunning scandal that led to disaster and tragedy, including hundreds of killings. After Mr. Holder failed to provide information to Congress about the scandal, the House of Representatives voted to hold him in contempt of Congress. To this day Mr. Holder remains in contempt and has failed to produce the records the American people are entitled to see. For an administration that promised a new era of transparency, its secrecy and obstructionism has turned from hypocritical to ironic.

The Holder Department of Justice arguably endangered freedom of the press when it sought records of The Associated Press and targeted journalist James Rosen. Mr. Holder even approved the seizure of records for more than 20 telephone lines assigned to the AP and its journalists in April and May of 2012. Mr. Holder himself signed the subpoena for Mr. Rosen’s records, despite testifying to a committee that he did not know of such targeting. Some contend Mr. Holder committed perjury. He might also have condoned using drone strikes within the United States against U.S. citizens but for Sen. Rand Paul bringing this issue to the forefront. Keep in mind it was a letter, from the attorney general, that didn’t rule out drone strikes against U.S. citizens on American soil that started Mr. Paul’s filibuster.

In light of these scandals, my opinion is that Mr. Holder’s tenure has gone from bad to worse. The flagrant abuses directly administered by the Justice Department makes it incredibly clear that the time is long overdue for Mr. Holder to resign. A responsible chief executive would have fired him long ago. No one is above the law, including Eric Holder.

There has been a groundswell of support from Congress and millions of Americans across the country to remove Mr. Holder and appoint someone who will restore confidence in the Justice Department. Currently, 137 House members have co-sponsored my resolution expressing no confidence in the attorney general and calling for his immediate resignation. Many others in Congress have independently called for his resignation. It is time for Mr. Holder to heed those calls. If we, as citizens, did what Mr. Holder has done, we would be thrown in jail. When Mr. Holder or any government official is exempted from the law, we create a two-tiered justice system that leaves government officials immune from prosecution and licensed to act without restraint. This is the hallmark of totalitarian regimes, not the America our Founders envisioned.
Two weeks ago, Republican Senator Chuck Grassley sent a letter to Holder asking him why his Department was hiding new murders connected to Fast and Furious guns in Mexico. Holder has until today to respond to the letter. http://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavlich/2013/07/25/gosar-lets-shed-some-light-on-eric-holders-blatant-disregard-for-the-rule-of-law-n1648016

(NaturalNews) It's Friday and I've had an intense week, so for the sake of some public humor at the expense of someone who clearly deserves it, here are the top ten new laws you'll see in New York City if Anthony Weiner becomes mayor.

Read the list (if you dare), have a laugh, and enjoy your Friday. (Warning, mature content... or highly immature, come to think of it.)

#1) The Weiner Freedom Initiative - Based on the idea that weiners have been locked up and zipped up -- i.e. "incarcerated" -- for generations, the Weiner Freedom Initiative would grant weiners citizen status, allowing them to obtain New York driver's licenses and vote in political erections.

#2 The Big Brother Weiner Sex Surveillance Act - This special law allows the Mayor of New York to surveil, in real time, anyone engaged in sex acts, anywhere throughout the city. It's all part of protecting New Yorkers from terrorists, of course! (Hat tip to Anthony Gucciardi for this completely inappropriate suggestion...)

#3 The Pension-To-Penis Rehabilitation Act - This very important law will confiscate all police and firefighter pension funds and redirect them to the purchase of a 10-year supply of Viagra for all men over the age of 40... who just happen to be police and firefighters. So instead of retirement funds, they will receive boner meds. HECK YEAH!

#4) The Child Sexting Protection Act - this act is designed to protect minors from prosecution under child porn laws if they happen to text each other nude photos of themselves. The act also protects children if they sext pictures to Mayor Weiner.

#5) The Hemp and Polygamy Legalization Act - Mayor Weiner wants to legalize hemp, but not as much as he wants to legalize polygamy! Smoke a joint, gather some gals, and pretend you're Carlos Danger...

Oh, speaking of Carlos Danger:

#6) Carlos Danger Appreciation Day - We all love Carlos Danger! He's an international man of mystery... and maybe even an undocumented immigrant, too! He's got an insatiable appetite for loving all New Yorkers. Or at least the ones with female body parts who are under the age of 25...

#7) The "Scripted Wife" Provision - This provision of New York marriage law will allow all husbands to force their wives to read from scripts any time they get caught cheating over and over again with multiple sex partners.

#8) The Crotch Crusader Indemnification Act - Part of the "Weiner freedom" initiative (see above), the Crotch Crusader Indemnification Act will indemnify and grant "superhero" status to any Democrat whose crotch photos appear on the internet. The act does not apply to Republicans because their crotches are considered crimes against humanity.

#9) Presumed Consent Bestiality Provision - If children can be granted presumed consent for vaccinations, and voters can be assumed to have granted presumed consent for organ donation, why not allow perverted politicians to presume that animals have given their consent, too? After all, there's nothing too weird that would cause Weiner to actually quit the Mayor's race in humiliation... not even getting caught with a squirrel in his pants.

Question: How do you know when your sex addiction has gone too far?

Answer: When the photos of you and your sex partners that appear on the internet need a zoologist to interpret.

#10) The Sexting-For-Lunch-Money Teen Support Program - This program allows New York politicians to "sponsor" teenage college students by providing them lunch money in exchange for sexting photos. Mayor Weiner plans to support a LOT of teens with this program. After all, he's pro-education!

Got comments? Please post below. And just remember: After the first apology, I stayed silent. After the second, I held my tongue. But after the third, Weiner is fair game, folks. He is an embarrassment to men everywhere.
