RE: UFO Revelations

Hi all, In the mid seventies, around 1075 or 1976, I was writing a free lance article for a local weekly newspaper in my home town newspaper. It started by me responding to their Letters to the Editor column. Someone had written in about their opinion about a local subject (I am not sure what the subject was at this time) and I responded by saying that everyone had the right to their own opinions, saying that if everyone does not share your views on certain matters that is quite all right because diversity was what makes us individuals. The following week, I received a response to my response by someone asking how I felt about subjects that others felt were ridiculous to which I replied that if a person had a strong feeling about a subject and was comfortable in how they felt, it did not matter how others felt about it. They had their own feelings about the matter and that is all that counted. On the third week there were three responses to my answer including a follow up of the previous week. He began by saying, "Well, here goes!!" He said that he knew that he was going to get a lot of ridicule, but that he had seen a UFO over his house. He lived in an area that was wooded and there were not that many people. The object was low enough that he could tell that it was round, disc shaped, had a bubble on top, as there was a beam of light that seemed to be searching for something on the ground. He ended by saying that he did not believe in Flying Saucers, but he could not tell what it was. He concluded by saying that he knew that he was being ridiculous but that he had to get it off his chest? I answered him by asking why he thought that he was being ridiculous. At that same time, I was also involved with the L-5 Society that was an organization to support NASA Research. (This will come in to play in a minute)I continued by saying that planet Earth was a mere spec on the edge of the Milky Way Galaxy. Why should we believe that our tiny little planet would be the source of all living beings? I added that our planet has a diverse range of element that it would make it possible for beings from other planets to live here. Along with that I cited a case where NASA had sent a probe to a planet to test whether or not life could exist on that planet. The test results showed that the planet that they were probing contained 135 toxic gasses and chemicals in it's atmosphere making it impossible for life to exist. The planet being probed was Earth. I concluded that if we could live here under these extreme conditions why wouldn't it be possible for life from other planets to exist here as well. The head of the L-5 Society was Barry Goldwater from Arizona. About two weeks later the newspaper contacted me and asked me to stop by their office. When I got there, they showed me a stack of letters. They then told me that I could no longer respond the Letters to the Editor. I shrugged my shoulders and began to leave. The editor told me that the reason that I could not respond to Letters to the editors was that they were going to try me out on my own column called Rights to your own opinion by Michael James Caron. They would try it out for a month or two and if they got enough response, I would be a paid columnist. I would also have my address listed at the bottom of the article. Things went well for awhile. I was busy going through mail. The editor would read the letters coming in to the paper and recommend some for me to respond to, while I would choose those the I received, and post replies to ones that I believed had merit. I believe that the paper had affiliates in other states because I began getting letters from Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire as well as Massachusetts. I received a lot of interesting letters but the one that stands out the most was the letter that I received from the Chief of Police from a small town in Vermont. He was contacted by one of his patrolman that had spotted what looked like a Big Ball of Fire in a clearing in the woods right outside of town. As the patrolman was speaking, his radio began to have a lot of static and cut out. The Chief thought this was strange as he had just installed all new two way radios in the cruisers, so he got in his cruiser to find out what had happened. About a half mile from the location the Chief's battery went dead. He got out and went the rest of the way by foot, noting that the glow did not look like a fire, but it did light up the sky. As he approached the patrolman who was up on a small ridge overlooking the clearing, he noticed that the patrolman was waving frantically, pointing toward the clearing. When the Chief reached to location, a huge, round, metallic object was lifting off. He and the patrolman watched as it lifted, making a dull humming sound, and shot straight up at tremendous speed. Darkness now surrounded them, however the area surrounding the landing site glowed. The two officers carefully walked down to the site and with his flashlight, the chief surveyed the area. He found a small metallic object that looked like a pipe of some sort, however he could not make out the metal. It was still hot, so he covered it over to retrieve it the next day. When he returned early the next morning, he had a cloth to cover it with and it was still hot. He wrapped it up, put it in the trunk of his cruiser, and headed back to town. About two hours later, military officers entered his office, wanting to know the location of the site. He had one of his day patrolman take them to the site. In a phone conversation he told me that if I could come to Vermont, he would give me the metal so that I could have it annalazed. About three days after printing the story, two high ranking Air Force officers went to my house while I was working. I believe that I drove cab at the time. When I got home, my ex wife told me that they took everything that I had on UFOs were taken away and as I was not home, she had to sign a statement that we would not mention anything more about the subject or I would go to prison and she and the children would lose all their benefits. GOD BLESS YOU ~Mike~ http://www.countryvalues65.com/epilepsy
