Good Morning Volunteers, and Supporting Members.

I have a simple question this morning about the 100 Friends.

One of the features I like when a new request agrees to be friends,

I get a notification in my main email account saying:

"You Have a New Friend"

The email contains a link to this persons profile that makes it easy to

visit their profile, and send them a welcome package.

With this new feature for new members that accept the 100 friends,

will we still receive this valuable email saying:

"You Have a New Friend" ?

To me this needs to still stay in place with notifications.

Hi Mark,

This is good question. We are not planning to send notifications by email, as each time a new member would join, 200 emails would be sent. We will create status which you will be able to check upon logging into the site and see what has happened in respect to your account.

Bogdan

That would be great where I would see the new ones that have accepted the 100 friends
and have a link to their profiles.

Hello Everybody,

We have not discussed this but it is in the works that with 100 of new friends we will add also concept of 100 followers. Followers means that whenever you make a post, those who follow you, will be notified that you have made a post with a link to the place where post was made.
Is this something of value to the program? Would you like that those new members who are automatically becoming your friends, also become your followers and vice versa (you will follow them)? Friends the same as followers can be removed.

In addition if you are a member of a private forum, only your followers who are members of this forum will be notified about your post in this forum.

Bogdan Fiedur

You know me, I just don't seem to say something with putting some thought to it

and at least try to explain it a little.

My first thought with the followers and getting notified is where?

Will this be contained in the AdlandPro Website or will it go to

our main email address we have in our account?

Reason For Asking: Like Twitter and Facebook, and if you have lots of followers

or friends, could you imagine what your email would be if everyone you where

following and friended made a post, update, tweet, or what ever, you would get notified in your email address? My word, it would take hours to go through

them or even just start deleting. Only if your are logged in and watching the

screen do you see them just flying by and sometimes they just so many.

I am following forums not people for a reason, because I want to.

People belong to many forums and do many different posting and not all is something that I want to see or follow. Some forums that I have joined and soon have left them or clicked on the little box not to be notified when post are made that I have no interest in. Follow the person in a forum is one thing but following their

every move? Not To Sure About This: but always open to different

ways to look at it

Now someone made a suggestion: ( I think Kathleen) a while ago with some sort of news feed that would do something like your are talking about. It is in the Website and only seen by logging in and there would be the following post made and from where.

Now I am sure that some will take this the wrong way but you know, I like

the idea of it, just opens up just how many emails you will get and where?

Here Is Another Thought: I know for a fact that there are many that are really

funny about their emails. Now here is a new member, signed up, and have click on accepting the 100 friends and choose the option to follow them.

Wonderful, or is it? Will they begin to get flooded with emails with 100 different people in every forum they belong to and make a post?

I know you have just mentioned this and maybe jumping ahead myself,

and just wanted to throw a few things out there. I think it is important to make

a first impression to your new friend with how you want to express yourself.

I like what you are doing here with showing this.

Dennis, here is another way you can build your list of the 100 Friends.

It is more compact with out drawing it out too long. The images are all hyperlinked,

that is one option, or you can add their names and hyperlink to their profile.

You could build the table with 100 places, then just add to it when they arrive to keep it up to date, then just repost it. Easy to edit if need to remove none active or sleepers. I know the table design function here can be a little trying, so if need or want, I could build one and after you have it can be edited. This was just a little sample and a different way with a more visual and compact design.

Once 100 friends goes live in adlandpro the next step would be sleep mode
Sleep mode will put to sleep the inactive members so when you send a message it will go
to an active or awake member of the community.

Plus and Gold memberships will be worth more because these mass sends will hit where they will be seen.
In other programs and communities they do not have this feature the mass sends hit only a low % With our adlandpro Sleep mode Adlandpro Direct Contact or even free member sends the hit ratio will be high.

Good morning and sorry I have not been here as much the last few days ( getting things ready for our holiday road trip)

I like this idea Mark as it is more in line with Pinterest, which is very very popular because it is visual. The only other thing I would add is that under the image of a person, would be their name as well as alt text which is adding context to what a person is seeing/
