I particularly like the Richard III portrait.
It is Dalis cubism. Powerful and interesting.
There is so much character and information in all of these.
Lots to digest again.
Quote:And a fourth great portrait (his very best? in Velazquez style) Salvador Dali - Equestrian Fantasy - Portrait of Lady Dunn (oil on canvas, 1954)
I bet she was delighted with this.
It is classic, different and puts over a powerful image.
I'm very impressed.

Quote:Here is another portrait of Sir James Dunn by Dali - perhaps better known than the previous one. Salvador Dali - Portrait of Sir James Dunn (oil on canvas, 1958)
Sir James was one of Dali's few real friends. The affluence comes through in this image but also there is a soft feeling of love and familiarity.
A fine painting, understated which makes it work.
