The Coming of My Redeemer

By Rev. Dean Beaty 7/15/12

Job 19:25 “For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that

he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:” (KJV)

Is it because I’m growing old that I long for Christ’s return?

Or to see those nail scarred hands is it that for which I yearn?

I’m so tired of the wickedness and the corruption I abhor.

Perhaps a combination - of these and many more.

They’re all part of why I long to see my Savior’s face.

And know the love that’s waiting me at the end of this life’s race.

My one desire, to hear Him say of the race that I have run;

“You’ve finished well, here’s your crown, welcome home my son.”

The race of life has seemed so long, but then that’s from my view.

When I see it as God sees, it’s just been a day or two.

Here’s a thought that crossed my mind, as for His Church He died.

He too has longed to come again to claim His chosen bride.

As a Bridegroom Christ will come to take His love away.

Perhaps He’s also anxious for the arrival of that day.

Are you looking for His return and by faith trust in that truth?

He’s our Blessed Redeemer – as Boaz was to Ruth.

Job 19:23-27 “Oh that my words were now written! Oh that they were printed

in a book! That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock forever! For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.” (KJV)

Wandering From The Way

By Rev. Dean Beaty 6/29/12

Hebrews 12 6-8 “For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and

scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening,

God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the

Father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof

all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.” (KJV)

Every son that God receives,

He chastens if The Way he leaves.

Not for judgment or for spite,

But that the son might turn out right.

God is grieved when sinners sin,

But not the same as “born again.”

If chastening is not there, that’s odd.

It means that one was just a fraud.

We don’t chasten a neighbor’s son,

But just our own when right they shun.

If one truly is God’s own,

He will not leave you alone.

Repent of sins unto the Lord

And fellowship will be restored.

God is faithful to forgive,

When back within The Way we live.

I John 1:7-9 “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have

fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son

cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive

ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful

and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (KJV)
