GREAT answer Amanda!! Kudos!! You are so right on target here. It starts at an early age and continues through life. Children are given awards, ribbons, trophies and etc so they won't feel bad because someone else, who had worked and earned it, or had a special gift or talent, got rewarded. We all have different talents and gifts and rewarding or praising someone who doesn't deserve it serves no purpose, actually it's a disservice to them. There are always going to be people who are just looking to be offended too, regardless. Again, thanks for your insightful answer. Quote:
Children, Students, adults are rewarded throughout life with stars, awards, medals, ribbons, cups, Oscars, etc. No one gets corrected anymore. It was very interesting yet shocking how this was accomplished.

We should all sing on Singsnap and make a record-sales site, and all be compelled to get along, just like on the handmade sales sites where everyone promotes each other's scarves and jewelry made from rags and recycled newspapers, and there's no arguing because everyone's in sell-mode...and we all tell each other..."That looks great!" ;) [/quote]
