Hi Evelyn and friends,

Well things are looking good. I have heard of all kinds of problems around me, but thankfully I still have my electricity. God water in basement, but subpumps are working well. I am so thankful for not having problems I could shout.

I know that prayer is the answer and that there were a lot of people praying for me, and I thank you so very much.

They showed last night how the eye of the storm went over us. I say that must have been a good thing to be in that position. I don't know but it was good for us.

We all need to pray for the people in the flooded areas, things are tough. Especially New York city.

Have a great day, I know I am.

Hi Myrna,

I'm glad everything went okay for you! I just sent you a message also about that.

I called my Dad and he said they had a lot of rain & wind and his flowerpots blew off the porch, he had a line-up of about a dozen heavy plants out there. He didn't lose electricity. He told me the town had installed 30-inch diameter storm drains under the streets a few years ago to prevent water gushing down the streets like they usually had during regular thunderstorms before that. So a lot of the water was diverted thru the underground drains instead of piling up on the roads and onto peoples' lawns or sidewalks.

We had strong winds overnight here in Michigan, the storm is closer this way and it was icy cold last night, I went outside around 10 pm and it felt like it could snow, but it didn't, it was just an icy sharpness out there, and I guess we have to put up with it until the hurricane fizzles out.

I'm glad you & my Dad are okay, I was worried!

Hi Myrna, I am so thankful you're OK and yes prayer does work. You were blessed to have no more problems than water in your basement which you say the sump pumps are taking care of. Sooooooo happy you're OK. :)

Kathleen, I too am so glad your dad and Myrna are OK. As I've said before, it is amazing how attached we can get to our online friends. :)
