I hope Myrna has neighbors to visit her, the news told people to visit their elderly neighbors who might be alone and make sure they have food, water, and are safe.
My Dad has lived in his neighborhood for over 50 years and that area is packed with people, so even if my brother, sister and cousins somehow can't get to his house, there are lots of neighbors very close, (too close, I remember growing up there seemed to be no privacy, the east coast is wall-to-wall people).
Lake Michigan and other great lakes are getting the outer bands of wind way over there, there are high waves already on the lakes and we're expecting winds of at least 30 mph tonight and tomorrow and it's cold here at night, expected to be around the freezing mark tonight so the Great Lakes area is going to be in a very cold wind with windchills plummeting just from the very outer bands of the hurricane. |
