I stood near the edge to get this shot, near some fishermen again, I don't know if it bothers them if someone gets near their personal space for 30 seconds to take a photo :) That could be about a 1.5 mile distance to the buildings, maybe 2 miles.

A couple years ago, when I was looking for a JOB, I was offered a chance to be an assistant wedding photographer, or a fill-in if the main photographer couldn't make it or was late, or lost, that would have been in the suburban Philadelphia area which I had planned on moving back to. BUT I would have had to be dressed in proper clothing for attending weddings...and my main thought was...I'd have to wear real SHOES, not sneakers! That was my biggest turn-off! I'm a sneaker fanatic. Also, the thought of dealing with Bridezillas and Momzillas and Mom-in-Lawzillas every Saturday, maybe 2 or 3 weddings on Saturdays, after hearing horror stories from a local wedding photographer, didn't sound like fun...I didn't move back and therefore didn't take that job. I'll stick with photos of trees, sky, river :)

(In reply to your Peach Cobbler post...my mom used to make it, my parents had several peach trees in their backyard in PA...and for some reason, they thought that putting a dessert next to a meal I didn't like would help the situation, it DIDN'T! I'd not eat the ghoulash or whatever they thought was good, and I did not like anything with cooked tomatoes or ground beef in it...and pick all the peaches out of the cobbler and eat them so it was full of holes. I like raw tomatoes, and I've actually made ghoulash once or twice with ground turkey, still not a big fan of that meal.)

Happy Monday Kathleen and thanks for sharing more of your beautiful photos. Hmmmm, so you don't like goulash. Are you a picky eater? I'm not sure what you call goulash but my family always liked it when I made a big pot with ground beef and different kinds of vegetables in it. Maybe mine is more like a beef vegetable soup than goulash. Hope you have a fabulous week. :)

When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.

As I was cleaning out my inbox I found this video that you may have seen before and it may resonate with some of you as I'm sure we've all known someone who brings out the worse in us. Wouldn't you like to know just what brought this on? :)
