“Today is a most unusual day, because we have never lived it before; we will never live it again; it is the only day we have.
Today can be a healthy unusual day for you -- and for others -- if you take time to give someone a smile . . . to express a word of kindness . . . to lend a helping hand to someone in need . . . to write a note of gratitude . . . to give a word of encouragement to someone who is temporarily overcome with problems . . . to share a portion of your material possessions with others.”

Hello everyone, have you ever wondered why some people try to pick a fight for no good reason?
There are many reasons why and these are just a few -
1. anger issues and displacement, insecurity,
2. mostly to get attention.
3. to not feel alone.
4. they have nothing better to do
5. they're an arrogant pig
6. think of abuse as something fun to do
7. some type of inner conflict
8. because they are either bored or drunk or maybe both
9. in addition to being immature, they have too much time on their hands
10. love being the center of attention
11. they feel down on themselves
12. because they are angry at themselves and the anger at oneself covers another negative feeling like shame, fear etc.
13. trying to obtain an angry, aggressive or emotional response from another person who doesn't hold the same beliefs they do
14. they're very unhappy and don't really like themselves very much
15. they're selfish and dramatic.....it somehow makes them feel better about themselves and their self righteous messed up psyche....but that's how they THRIVE...
There are many other reasons but these will suffice for now.

.

You may be a nobody to most people. What really matters is being somebody to everybody who's somebody to you.

Inspirational Quote of the Day

Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections.

I got this from my friend Pat, back in Tennessee. I found it very moving, very poignant.

Fifty Thousand Names Carved In The Wall ~ George Jones

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpBiVpSggNs

50,000 NAMES
(Carved in the Wall)
(written by Jamie O'Hara)
There's teddy bears and high school rings
And old photographs that Mamas bring,
Of Daddies with their young boys, playing ball.
There's combat boots that he used to wear,
When he was sent over there.
There's 50,000 names carved in the wall.
There's cigarettes and there's cans of beer,
And notes that say I miss you dear;
And children who don't say anything at all.
There's Purple Hearts and packs of gum,
And fatherless daughters and fatherless sons;
And there's 50,000 names carved in the wall.
They come from all across this land,
In pickup trucks and minivans;
Searching for a boy from long ago.
They scan the wall and find his name,
The teardrops fall like falling rain;
And silently they leave a gift and go.
There's Stars of David and Rosary Beads,
And Crucifixion figurines,
And flowers of all colors, large and small.
There's a Boy Scout badge and a merit pin,
Little American Flags waving in the wind;
And there's 50,000 names carved in the wall.
There's 50,000 names carved in the wall.
The bear is from the Salina, KS POW-MIA support group. They gave 4 bears to the RFTW (Run For The Wall) riders to take to the wall. The bears ride on motorcycles to the wall as honored guests. The soldier in the picture is from New York. It was placed there by a retired Master Sergeant who served with the man. The Master Sergeant rides with Rolling Thunder.
