He Evelyn,

That is sad news about Goober. I bet George Lindsay felt like Goober after playing that role for such a long time. Don't you think you would?

Hi Myrna, yes it is, almost as good as your true story. Both of you have inner fortitude to overcome the impossible. :)

Hi Eveyln,

Never give up is the best thoughts anyone can have. This video is so good, what a great story to share with the world.

I know when I was in the home after my car accident. The therapist was amazed at me, to tell you the truth I was a little amazed at times to,but I saw people who had the attitude they could not do it. I believe they did more for me then anything, because of their attitude I knew you had to listen to what the therapist was telling you. Do you want to walk? So do as I say, not as you want. I wanted to go home, and to go home I had to work hard at the exercises every time I had the opportunity. More then once I did not fell well, but I did not want to miss out on going home asap. The therapist would say, you don't need to do them today, but I did them anyhow. I would always fell better to, by going and working out the upper part of the body.

The gentleman wanted to walk, what a great job he did, his story is wonderful. Determination is the key. If you have determination you can do about anything..

Myrna, I would say you're probably right but it was a good role, because "Goober" didn't have a mean bone in his body.

There doesn't seem to be very much in youtube videos with George but I did find this one of him singing "My Home Town".

Inspirational Quote of the Day

There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.
