Hello Miguel and Alain. Miguel I must say I agree with Alain on both fronts, you've presented us with a beautiful heart warming story and yes, the situation of abandoned animals appears to be getting worse. My guess is because of the hard economic times when a lot of people have a hard time putting food on the table for their families and sadly, for many, an animal is just considered as one more mouth to feed. I've also heard about cases of people losing their jobs or their homes and have to move and when they do they leave their pets behind because a lot of times they can't take them with them. I know this is no excuse, there are too many animal shelters to take them to. :(
