Hi Helen,
I did a search and found a short version of Ian McCormack speaking as a guest on 700 Club - which I do not really like, I have some issues with Pat Robertson but that is neither here nor there regarding this interview.
The original video's when he was young (10 of them) would not play for me the past the first 3 minutes on the first video.
Ian was the first guy I ever heard having a Near Death Experience, shortly around the time I accepted the Lord into my heart, and his testimony has stayed with me all these 25 years.
Oops I forgot to post the video and have come back to edit..

Hello Amanda

Yes, it is a powerful story!

He did leave it too late but he still got one last opportunity in a place that appears to be on the edge of hell. One thing is sure ...he was no longer on this earth.

What do you think about this? > > > This story has inspired me to pray for people who have died that "if it is possible, please Lord save them. Cause them to call on the name of the Lord and they shall be saved."

Some say not to pray for the dead but after hearing Howard Storm's story I am not so sure. There is something in the New Testament about the rich man who was in hell and was told that those in hell could not get out but I have listened to a lot of these NDE stories and Howard may not have yet been totally in the pit of hell. From his story and others, it seems there is a place before you are thrown in the pit and it is in this place where these people seem to be given one more last chance, if you will. The way I figure it, they could be on this edge of the pit for years perhaps waiting for someone to pray for them since there is no essence of time in heaven or in hell.

Another thing someone told me is that if people do not pray for someone or something to happen, God does not or can not act until someone or some people pray. I have never read it exactly like that in the Bible but that doesn't mean it is not there. I think we often miss things in the Bible and that happens even if we have read it several times.

I'd love to hear your thoughts or anyone's thoughts on this.

Helen

Hi Amanda

I have seen Ian McCormack's testimony more than once. I was absolutely fascinated! These stories so capture my attention that often I listen to them more than once. If you posted it, I'd probably watch it again.

You didn't answer my question ...I highlighted it below.

Pat Robertson is a human being so he is not perfect. He does a lot of good work in the world. He has a hectic life and sometimes blurts out things in a way he did not intend. I recall seeing him in a video once when he was running for president. Someone mentioned something about abortion. He said "I don't care about that." He probably meant that in the context of things going on in the moment, he didn't care if abortion was included this time ...or some such thing because I know Pat Robertson cares very much about the abortion issue.

Hi Miquel

I see you are happy. See below for a picture of you I found.

I was glad that you are so happy. Your wife on the right does not think you are all that funny, does she?

That's you on the far left, is it not?
