Happy Monday friends, I have a prayer request today for our dear friend Gaby. I got a short email from her this morning saying she's not feeling well and had to go to the emergency room twice last week. Not sure what is going on there because she didn't go into any details, but please remember this dear lady in your prayers.

I'm sure many of you have seen this quote before but it never hurts to read it again.

Quote:

"Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about those who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it."

Amanda, here's a video of Dolly recorded live from the Ford theater, not sure of the year. One thing about Dolly, even though she's sung for many of our presidents and had loads of success in her career, she's never changed. She's still the country girl from the mountains of Tennessee. I hope you enjoy this one and be sure to look and see who is in the audience. :)

Amanda I'm sorry I wasn't more clear about what happened, so let me try again. :) I dropped a glass jar on my countertop ceramic cooktop and made a big crack so all I needed was the replacement part but the cost of the top part plus the installation costs were almost as much as whole new unit and that is why I decided to spend the extra amount and just get a new one but according to them after I put in an order for a repair there was no way it could be changed so they lost out in selling a new unit and the cost of the installation for it. Isn't that about the dumbest thing for a company to do? They would rather lose a sale than bend their ridiculous rules.

Evelyn, I am a little confused with the problem with your cook top.
You mean you discussed over the phone repairing your cook top with Sears and was told the price?..
then you discussed the price of new one and decided upon the small price difference to buy a new one?..
they would not let you opt out and this was over the phone?
Did they have your cook top in their possession with your signature agreeing to repair?
If no such written agreement was done, they cannot hold you liable, nor can they keep your cook top - even verbal has to have something in writing too as it is a contract otherwise it is a case of 'he said - she said'! Nor do I reckon just recording your voice is enough because they can delete parts they do not want anyone to hear or know about.
