Great!

Is it homemade or ready-robot toy?

When I lived in Tennessee I had added The Knoxville News Sentinel's online version of their newspaper to my favorites and one of the first things I do when I get up in the morning, after I get a cup of coffee, is to turn on my computer and read it. Imagine my surprise this morning when I saw this photo of my grandson. He's my oldest grandchild and a very bright 15 year old. He was able to skip eighth grade and go right into high school and then after his freshman year he was accepted at the new STEM school that just opened this school year. (Yes I'm a very proud grandmother.) :)

This is a two day competition, yesterday and today, so the winning team hasn't been announced yet.

Hi Helen, I voted from the email you sent me. :)

Hi Everyone

Below is an email I sent to my list and now I am sending it to you because a young boy needs our help.

Please send this email to your private list because it would be great if Mitchell got an AED.

Helen

Hello everyone

Please do this because it will help a young boy who has a serious heart disease.

What I am asking you to do is very easy ...and takes just one minute.

1) Click on the first link below
2) Click on VOTE!
3) Choose
The Kopytko Family

It costs you nothing.

What is AED? I'll tell you in a moment but first let me tell you what this is all about.

I received the following email from someone on my email list (RW) who lives in
Quesnel, British Columbia.

Good evening to you all,
I'm sending the address below and I hope you are able to take a minute to help out this cause.
It's free, I'm not asking for money, simply your time to submit a vote for the Kopytko family.
They have been selected as 1 of 5 possible recipients to be awarded an AED. Mitchell is Derek's
best friend at school, and this would be sooooo excellent if they were awarded this equipment.
Copy and paste the link below to see the rest of Mitchell's story and what an AED does.

Vote Kopytko!! He's a great kid!

or
Thanks,
Becky v.
Please feel free to forward this on to your coworkers, friends and family - this isn't one of
those stories you hear about on snopes. He's a close family friend, with a very serious condition,
and we want the best for him!

End of email from Becky

Below is Mitchell's story as found on the website......

Our son Mitchell, was born with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, he is now 10.
2 years ago my husband was also diagnosed with the disease. Hypertrophic
Cardiomyopathy is often the cause of sudden cardiac death.

The school that Mitchell attends is not equipped with an AED. As a parent I
spend much of my day worrying that if he were to have a cardiac incident it
would be too late by the time it was recognized, and the paramedics were
called. In an effort to let him have a normal childhood, we often find ourselves
in locations that are not equipped with AED's, school field trips and camp sleepovers.

We have often thought about the benefits of being able to have life saving
equipment with Mitchell at all times, and would be forever thankful to have
won that piece of mind.

End of Mitchell's story

Please pass this on to your email list because it will help this young boy (and maybe even
others such as his Dad and/or people at Mitchell's school) and give his Mom some peace
of mind.

This contest ends on March 15, 2012. If you get this after this date, please just Delete it.

Oh, I almost forgot. AED means Automated External Defibrillator.

Thank you for doing this. God bless you!!

Yes it was Deb, that's for sure. I have four grandchildren and Jonathan, the oldest and only grandson, and my youngest granddaughter both have red hair. The other two granddaughters have light, almost blond hair.

What a great way to start your day! Proud you should be. It's amazing what kids are doing these days. Thinking back, all we had were leggo's and an erector set. Hope his team wins!

Well Linda said next Saturday was "Walk Naked In America" day and I wanted to be sure everyone knew the date.

Hi Evelyn,
What is the significance of March 10? I looked on the calender and nothing on mine - The 8th is a full moon, the 11th Spring forward with our clocks.. Curious people want to know! LOL

Hi Linda, for those who want to know, next Saturday is March 10. I can just imagine how some of them would look naked and that right there is enough for me to say no thank you. LOL!!!

Hi Evelyn

I've heard that song many times but did not see this video before. Great song :)) Thanks for posting it. I like Ray Stevens, too.

Aaaaaaaw, c'mon, Amanda. Just let it all hang out. I want to see you strut your stuff. Don't we, everybody!

You realize that this Naked Saturday was probably a ploy thought up by some man or men so they could get the women to take their clothes off.

It reminds me of one time when I took my daughter and her friend, Nicole for a bite at McD's. A guy ran through the front door to the back door wearing nothing but his boots and his winkie flopping in the breeze. I picked up one Nicole's limp potato chips and dangled it and said, "This is the streaker's winkie." Then I put it back with the rest of her chips. She loudly said, "I'm not eating that!"
