wow, very very interesting! I love knitting, especially in winter :) Problem is I can't red knitting patterns, if I could I would knit so much stuff. At the moment I'm knitting a scarf. I taught my daughter basic knitting (she's 10) and she has started a scarf as well and is very excited, I let her choose the material and colour and of course she chose purple, it's her favourite colour! I also find that making something, doing something like craft (wether it's jewellery, knitting, cross-stitching, scrapbooking) it does keep my mind away from comfort eating and junk food and that is really good.

Hi happy

I bet you could find instructions on how to read knitting patterns online. Just Google, "how to read knitting patterns", then get a pattern and just do it. If you get stuck on something go back online and find the answer. There must be knitting forums, too.

Bless you.

Hi Happy, and welcome to my forum. Happy, I never learned to knit either, but I used to crochet a little years ago. My late mom was excellent at crocheting and I have lots of her handiwork she made and gave to me over the years.
