Hi Mark.. It is a misconception that only black mold is dangerous.. There fore you should avoid contact with any type of mold just be be sure.. I think there are about 30 known species that produce a secondary metabolite called mycotoxins and these can actually be more harmful than the mold itself.. If you need some testing done I would recommend that you call Matt Visser at mouldworks.com... He is the best in the business and very inexpensive.. If you give him a call he will be happy to discuss with you the best way to go about testing.. He will really help you a lot.. Thanks for responding to this group Mark..
