I had never seen this one before.

It is superb. It is very like gothic arches in a church.

Hello Roger,

Thanks for the input. Very interesting indeed, though the color doesn't quite look like the usual Roerich's more intense pallet. Can it be a pastel? I have tried to find another photo of this same version (of 1913, according to Wikimedia.org) to no avail. Instead, I found the version below, of 1944, which clearly represents the same idillic place.

So far I have almost not shown any of Nicholas Roerich's many scenery sketches, which of their own would take us to quite another world since he seems to have been quite a fan of the great ballet pieces of the Russian masters of his time.
