The feelings I had when I heard him, Oh I wonder what he is really going to do. Someone as loyal and honest as Dennis isn't just pushed aside he has a great job in store for him.

Yes, Dennis Kucinich will be missed. I think we are going to see a lot more of him so I wonder what his real job will be. I think it is going to do something wonderful in our new age. We will see, it is right around the corner.
Nesara now, please!!!

Thanks for your kind & charming comment, Myrna. I can perfectly understand the feelings he, Dennis Kucinich, awakens in you and Pat and such a big number of good people in your country. From the moment I first heard about him and his proposal at Jill's Mountain of Love, even I felt greatly attracted to him and all that he represents now that decency has become such a rare occurrence in the entire world. And just like you, I too hope to see a lot more of him in the future.

Thanks again,

Miguel

Hi Miguel,

As I suspected initially, Kony is a America sponsored man, who now serves their another agenda. This article below confirms it.

Conned 2012: Joseph Kony Is A CIA Contractor

Saman Mohammadi at disquietreservations.blogspot.com (Click Title for Original)

Hello again Bogdan,

I have read this article and also the blog by now and as a matter of fact, there is no need of more arguments to convince me that all they say is true, particularly as to the role the CIA has in all of it. I am afraid currently you only need to think the worst at a given globally crucial situation to hit on target. I only pray God to stop the U.S and allies from creating any more Iraq -and Afghanistan -like tragedies in the world; we all have had enough of it by now. If the growing awareness of what the real situation is can help and work a miracle like this, then we must spread the news for all to see - including in Spanish speaking countries like my own.

A favorable sign that this miracle may actually be happening is an article I read yesterday at my Terra news email, usually part of the frivolous mainstream media, on the real motivations behind the Kony phenomenon and the growing suspicions about the real objectives of the U.S, Israel and other big powers in a likely future intervention in Uganda. If so, the overall situation might not be as bad as it seems to be so far. I really hope so.

Thanks again,

Miguel

Outrage over suicide of Moroccan teen forced to marry rapist

Moroccan teen's suicide sparks outrage

The 16-year-old who was forced to marry her rapist was treated "like a criminal," an activist said. Calls for change

A minister in Morocco's Islamist government on Thursday called for a change to a law allowing a rapist to marry his victim after a 16-year-old teenager forced into such a union committed suicide.

Bassima Hakkaoui, Minister for Women and Families and the only woman in the cabinet, called for a debate to reform the law, in comments to state television channel 2M.

Her predecessor in the post Nouzha Skalli also declared herself shocked by the affair and called for the law to be changed.

Amina al-Filali, 16, drank rat poison last week in Larache, near Tangiers in the north, after being forced to marry the man who raped her.

He had sought to escape prison by invoking an article of the penal code that authorises the rapist to marry to escape prosecution.

This is something to which the families of such victims often agree because the loss of a woman's virginity outside of marriage is considered a dishonour to her family.

Filali's funeral took place Sunday in the northern town of Larache.

On Thursday, 300 protesters staged a sit-in outside the local court that had approved the marriage, a demonstration organised by Morocco's Democratic League for Women's Rights.

It was the League that publicised Filalai's suicide as part of its campaign against the law.

On Wednesday the League's president Fouzia Assouli condemned the relevant article of the law, saying that while it ostensibly defended family values it did not uphold the rights of women.

"The law treats the raped minor like a criminal even if she was the victim of violence," Skalli told 2M television during an extended programme on the affair.

"We have to reform the criminal code to adapt to the new constitution, which forbids violence against women and ensures the equality of the sexes."

The affair has also provoked an explosion of outrage in the news media and on the Internet. Activists have set up an online petition calling for the law to be changed, which within hours attracted hundreds of signatures.

Under Moroccan law, rape is punishable by five to 10 years in prison -- or between 10 and 20 years if the victim is a minor.

Rising Sea Levels Raise Risk of Record Floods

Sea level rise from global warming has greatly increased the risk of coastal flooding, according to new research published this week. The effects of global warming have doubled and in some cases tripled the chances of “once in a century” flooding occurring by 2030 in many areas of the coastal U.S.. At most sites studied, “century” flood levels reach over four feet above high tide line. Some 5 million Americans live in homes less than four feet above the high tide line and are at risk from these record-breaking floods.

The Surging Seas study projects sea level rise in the continental US of one to eight inches by 2030, and 4 to 19 inches by 2050, with much depending on how human society reacts to the global warming threat by cutting back on carbon emissions.

Report lead author Dr. Ben Strauss commented, “Just a small amount of sea level rise, including what we may well see within the next 20 years, can turn yesterday’s manageable flood into tomorrow’s potential disaster. Global warming is already making coastal floods more common and damaging.” The researchwas published in two articles in the journal Environmental Research Letters by scientists at Climate Central, the University of Arizona and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Florida Most at Risk

Unsurprisingly, the long, low coast of Florida is most at risk. The report notes “A preliminary independent analysis suggests about $30 billion in taxable property is vulnerable below the three-foot line in just three counties in southeast Florida, not including the county with the most homes at risk in the state and the nation, Miami-Dade.” The Climate Central website includes fact sheets for potentially affected states. It estimates that California faces three times the risk of catastrophic flooding due to global warming-induced sea level rise, and estimates that 374,000 people are at risk from flooding.

The research points out that human actions around adaptation to sea level rise scenarios can mitigate or enhance negative effects: “For example patterns of development will probably play one of the strongest roles in both the short and long terms. At the highest level, the amount of population and infrastructure potentially under threat will depend on whether low-lying coastal development continues unabated or, at the other end of the spectrum, communities begin to retreat. At a secondary level, adaptive measures such as enhancing ecological buffers or building levees or seawalls will influence vulnerability, and already do so today.”

Prohibitive Costs

Beyond human and animal misery, there will be huge costs associated with increased flooding and sea level rise. The New York Times reports “Insurance companies got out of the business of writing flood insurance decades ago, so much of the risk from sea level rise is expected to fall on the financially troubled National Flood Insurance Program, set up by Congress, or on state insurance pools.” Ultimately U.S. taxpayers will pay much of the cost of inundations’ property damage and relocation.

Is Your Home In Danger?

Climate Central has an interactive map that uses data from NOAA, the Census and the US Geological Survey to illustrate flood risk scenarios by state, city or zip code. The organization’s website also offers downlaods of the data set used to create the map, and solicits personal stories of coastal flooding from users.

Global Risks

The U.S. coastline is by no means alone in facing the risks from accelerating global warming. A report released yesterday by an Australian government agency confirmed that Australia is getting hotter while facing a quickening sea level rise and shifting rain patterns. An unpublished UK government report obtained by the Guardian this week reveals that up to 12 of Britain’s 19 nuclear sites are at risk of flooding due to rising sea levels caused by global warming.

Majority of Americans oppose intervening in Syria, new poll finds

Almost two-thirds of Americans oppose any form of U.S. military intervention in Syria, according to a new poll released Thursday by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press.

The findings may reflect the public's wariness about wading into what it perceives as a protracted civil war between the regime of President Bashar al-Assad and Syrian rebels. The year-old Syrian uprising and crackdown has killed an estimated 8,000 people. The results also appear to reflect Americans' war-weariness more than a decade after the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Sixty-two percent of Americans surveyed expressed opposition to bombing the Syrian military, an idea recently proposed by Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona), the new Pew poll found. Almost the same number--63 percent--said they oppose sending weapons to Syrian groups fighting the Assad regime.

Notably, the poll found little difference among Republicans and Democrats. "Majorities of Republicans and Democrats say the U.S. does not have a responsibility to get involved, and reject airstrikes or the shipment of arms to anti-government forces," the Pew pollsters wrote in an overview of their latest findings.

By contrast, polls have consistently found "much wider partisan differences over whether or not to maintain U.S. forces in Afghanistan and in concerns about Iran," the Pew publication stated. While overall, 57 percent of those surveyed say U.S. forces should be removed from Afghanistan as fast as possible, a far higher majority of Democrats69 percentfavor the faster pull out, versus just 41 percent of Republicans surveyed. Just under two-thirds of independents polled58 percentfavor the faster drawdown as well.

The national survey was conducted March 7-11entirely before the March 12 shooting rampage by a U.S. staff sergeant that killed 16 Afghansamong 1,503 adults.
