Charlottesville Democrat Resigns As His Racist Messages LEAK
Wes Bellamy, the Vice-mayor of Charlottesville, VA, High School Teacher, and member of the Education Board has resigned because of his racist, sexist tweets. He was also instrumental in orchestrating the mob who wanted to remove the statue on Saturday.
After the violence in Charlottesville this weekend, many people are wondering about the society of the town, and why it is so divided. Perhaps the people have been taking their cues from their elected and appointed leaders. The Vice-Mayor and Board of Education member in the Virginia town has just resignedfollowing the discovery of his disgustingly racist comments and posts on social media.
Although there is ample evidence that the riots and injury that took place on Saturday were the result of a premeditated plan of leftist agitators, there’s no denying the fact that Wes Bellamy, a 30-year-old high school computer science teacher and politician is a racist. His twitter feed is chock full of violent hate.
Bellamy was appointed to the Board of Education in March by Governor Terry McAuliffe, but the state leader was “horrified” by what was discovered last week.
Bellamy’s hate-filled rhetoric has helped fuel the division in Charlottesville, and now it’s been discovered that he frequently tweeted racist messages.
His vicious hate speech was uncovered by a local blogger. Jason Kessler unearthed the entries found on Bellamy’s twitter feed, accurately labeling the vice-mayor a racist. He criticized Bellamy’s adamant attemptsto remove the statue of Robert E. Lee and called him on his efforts to “attack” the history of the United States.
“In lieu of making headlines for planning Charlottesville highway development, infrastructure and water conservation like other members of city council, it seems that Bellamy has dedicated himself almost exclusively to his Afrocentric racial agenda,” Kessler wrote.
Bellamy’s account has been made private, but Kessler posted images that he’d collected, which demonstrate the anger and hate of the vice-mayor. Using that information, the newspaper for the University of Virginia followed up in the investigation. They found even more evidence.
Bellamy wrote that white women “smell like future assault charges n deli meat.” He also used derogatory remarks about women in positions of power and homosexuals.
Bellamy was placed on administrative leave from the Albemarle High School, where he was a staff member. Albemarle County School Board Chairwoman Kate Acuff explained last week that he would remain on leave pending an investigation into the tweets from 2009 to 2014.
“Many of these postings contain extremely vulgar and offensive language that directly contradicts the values of our school division,” Acuff said. “The School Board rejects these statements in their entirety.”
So essentially, while he was in charge of teens in Charlottesville, he was making horridly racist comments about his opinions and views. Who knows how many kids he infected with his bigotry and hate.

In October 2011, Bellamy retweeted an offensive portrayal of having sex with a sleeping woman and the comment said that “if she moan it aint rape.” Bellamy added the response, “Word.” In another conversation, he retweeted a message in January 2012 that included a gay slur.
Earlier that year, he retweeted “this weekend I’ll be on a whitegirl diet.” He shared the message and added “a rape charge waiting to happen.” In yet another racist comment, he said that white women “smell like future assault charges n deli meat.”
He also related white women to the “devil” and made fun of them wearing sundresses. His other misogynist remarks included this particularly offensive post, “I’m all for equal opportunity..but a Female Principal with a school full of female teachers is fkn a sure fire way to fk up our lil boys smh.”
Vice-mayor Bellamy also tweeted his approval of having sex with an unconscious women, agreeing with the comment that if “they moan” it isn’t rape.
Virginia Flaggers, a liberal group intent on creating revisionist history and removing the monument to Robert E. Lee, was quick to distance themselves from Bellamy. The group urged members to contact the City Council and “demand he be removed from office” in a Facebook post this weekend.
Bellamy has denied accusations that he is racist. However, if a white city representative, vice-mayor, and someone trusted with the education of students had made similar remarks, the outcry for a hate crime conviction would echo through the nation.
Bellamy retains his position as vice-mayor of the town. Charlottesville Mayor Mike Signer said that “in a time when we so urgently need unity, tolerance, and love” such communications “have done real harm to our community.”
“I believe Mr. Bellamy must seriously consider how and whether, in his present role as vice mayor and as a city councilor, he can best serve the common good of Charlottesville,” Signer added.
With a racist man like this in charge of educating high school students, it’s really no wonder that the violence in Charlottesville came to a head last weekend. Such role models poison America’s youth.
This type of racial hatred present in city officials and high school teachers in Charlottesville helps shed some light on the division of the town. Given his disgusting opinions, hopefully Bellamy will never hold such positions of respect again.
As a democrat though, it probably won’t happen. The Washington Post never once mentioned the fact that Bellamy held the vice-mayor position. With astonishingly unconcerned hypocrisy, Bellamy is still calling on Trump to condemn “racists.” Perhaps he might consider condemning his own racism first, instead of excusing his comments on the basis of age.
Self-deluded, self-important people like Bellamy don’t see their own hate, and because he stands for the party of slavery and injustice, Bellamy will most likely receive a free pass.
