Lebanese President Michel Aoun

Lebanese President Michel Aoun has dismissed the Tel Aviv regime’s recent threats of military strikes against the Arab country, stressing that any Israeli attempt to violate Lebanon's sovereignty would be met with an “appropriate response.”

“Any attempt to hurt Lebanese sovereignty or expose the Lebanese to danger will find the appropriate response,” Aoun said in a statement released by his office on Saturday.

According to the statement, Aoun was reacting to recent remarks in a letter by Israel’s envoy to the United Nations, Danny Danon, which amounted to a “masked attempt to threaten security and stability” in southern Lebanon. The statement did not elaborate what Danon’s remarks were.

Last week, Aoun said Hezbollah must arm itself to complement the Lebanese army's ability to deal with Israel’s threats. Danon sent a letter to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and to the Security Council in response.

The Saturday statement said that the Lebanese president also called on the international community to be aware of Israel's aggressive intentions against his country.

Israel is still refusing to implement United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, which is aimed at transition from cessation of hostilities to ceasefire stage by stage, irrespective of the fact that more than 11 years have passed since its adoption, Aoun pointed out.

The Lebanese leader went on to say that the Israeli military still occupies the northern part of Ghajar village, Sheba'a Farms, Kfarchouba village, and violates the Blue Line -- border demarcation between Lebanon and the occupied territories -- and Lebanese sovereignty by air and sea on a daily basis.

Aoun stressed that the era was over when Israel was exercising its policy of aggression against Lebanon unchecked.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Thursday warned Tel Aviv against starting another war on Lebanon, calling for the removal of the regime’s Dimona nuclear reactor, which, he said, would be within the resistance movement’s reach in case of a potential Israeli offensive.

Secreatry General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, delivers a televised speech during a ceremony in Beirut, Lebanon, on February 16, 2017.

I call upon Israel not only to evacuate the Ammonia tank from Haifa, but also to dismantle Dimona nuclear facility,” Nasrallah said.
He warned that Israel would be “surprised by what we are hiding which would change the course of any war.”

Feds Make Record Gains On Human Trafficking As Global Networks are Broken Up

Feb 18

By William Craddick

While the mainstream media’s attention has been fixed on political drama in Washington D.C., federal and state law enforcement have been quietly working to dismantle a shockingly large number of human trafficking and child abuse networks across the United States. The busts in America come at the same time as a number of other successful international law enforcement operations against networks engaging in human trafficking of women and children.

Since the inauguration of Donald Trump on January 20th, 2017, the number of trafficking arrests for human trafficking in 2017 have doubled the total numbers provided for the entire year of 2014 by the Department of Justice. Each individual law enforcement operation has been listed below for reader convenience:

Domestic Trafficking Busts

January 27th: 42 arrested in Memphis, Tennessee during a human trafficking operation led by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Arrestees included a medical professional, engineers, a law student, a tow truck driver and construction workers.

January 29th: 474 arrested, 27 adults and 28 sexually exploited children saved in an operationspearheaded by more than 30 federal, state and local law enforcement agencies and task forces in Los Angeles, California. The bust of the sex ring was the largest human trafficking operation in United States history and was largely ignored by the media.

On the same day, five individuals were arrested in Bucks County, Pennsylvania as part of what authorities described as a fetish-themed child predator sex ring. The Pennsylvania Attorney General stated that the arrests were part of an ongoing investigation and that they believed the child abuse sex ring involved more victims and predators.

February 1st: 11 women rescued in an operation lead by the New Orleans Violent Crime against Children and Human Trafficking task force. No arrests were reported.

February 5th: 108 arrests were reported in Illinois as what was described as part of a national sex trafficking sting operation occurring in 15 different states.

178 individuals were arrested in Texas on the same day as part of the same John’s Suppression Initiative. Arrestees included the sports agent responsible for getting Roger Clemens the highest ever single-season Major League Baseball contract.

In addition to the arrests in Illinois and Texas, 464 other individuals were arrested in the same interstateoperation on Super Bowl Sunday. Police stated that six minors and 86 adults were rescued during the operation.

February 10th: 160 individuals were arrested during an immigration crackdown in Los Angeles, California. 150 of the individuals arrested had criminal histories, many including child sex offenses.

February 13th: 22 arrested, 15 adults and 2 child victims saved at Detroit’s North American International Auto Show.

February 14th: The FBI raided the adoption agency European Adoption Consultants (EAC) in Strongsville, Ohio. In December the State Department debarred the agency from continued operation, citing failures “to adequately supervise…preventing the sale, abduction, exploitation, or trafficking of children.”

February 15th: 11 men were arrested during a child sex sting operation in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. One of the arrestees was working part time at a local Christian school.

42 individuals were also arrested in Polk County, Florida as part of a child pornography and sex offenderinvestigation.

International Trafficking Busts

January 27th: 13 individuals were arrested in connection with a paedophile ring in Quebec, Canada. Several of the arrestees held positions as teachers and scout leaders.

February 5th: 9 individuals were arrested and 31 children and women rescued during a police raid at the Kaliko Beach Club resort in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Users online speculated that the arrests may have been related to an announcement two days earlier from the Clinton Foundation that they would be quitting their projects in Haiti.

February 10th: Six men aged 20 to 66 were arrested on child pornography charges involving 168 underage male victims in Japan

February 13th: 16 suspects were arrested and 24 children freed by the Ghanan Police Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (ATHU) from the Volta Lake in the process of being transported to other parts of the country to be sold into forced labour. Online users have pointed out the the now closed Clinton Global Initiative partnered with a program known as The Post Harvest Project (TPHP) in the Volta Lake area of Ghana, though at this time there is no definitive indication as to whether the arrests were related the project or not.

Notable Individual Arrests

February 13th: Jeffery Sandusky, the adopted son of disgraced child abuser Jerry Sandusky, wasarrested on child molestation charges. He is accused of solicitation of statutory sexual assault, solicitation of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, six counts of unlawful contact with a minor and two counts each of solicitation to photograph or depict sexual acts, sexual abuse of children and corruption of minors.

February 15th: A man was arrested in Wayland, New York on charges of Possessing a Sexual Performance of a Child and Promoting Sexual Performance of a Child. Users online speculated that the individual was the Chief Analyst for the New York National Guard after a Linkedin profile was discovered under the same name as the arrestee.

Additionally, a newly appointed special prosecutor in Cleveland, Ohio reopened over 70 child sex cases according to reports on February 14th. A Jane Doe Plaintiff has also filed a new civil case on January 26th against notorious billionaire pedophile Jeffery Epstein and his associates Ghislaine Maxwell, Lesley Groff, Sarah Kellen, and Natalya Malyshev. The charges relate to the underage sex ring being run by Epstein that was uncovered in 2005. A pretrial conference will occur on March 9, 2017, in New York City.

WikiLeaks: CIA Plotted To Infiltrate Every Major French Political Party

FEBRUARY 17, 2017

By Everett Numbers

A fresh release of classified documents shows the CIA permeated France’s 2012 presidential election, according to WikiLeaks. The agency targeted every major party, as well as the current and former president and other prominent candidates.

WikiLeaks has been teasing its upcoming “CIA Vault 7” document dump. Thursday’s release of seven pages containing three CIA tasking orders regarding France’s 2012 election is the first such promotion to offer something of substance.

The documents show CIA spies working in human intelligence (HUMINT) and electronic, or signal, intelligence (SIGINT) were directed to infiltrate each major French political party and several leaders from November 21, 2011 to September 29, 2012. Elections took place between April and May of 2012, meaning the operation began about six months before the vote and lasted around four months afterward.

The operation targeted the French Socialist Party, the National Front, and the Union for a Popular Movement, along with current leading presidential candidate Marine Le Pen, current President Francois Hollande, then-President Nicolas Sarkozy, and former candidates Martine Aubry and Dominique Strauss-Kahn.

Assessing that President Sarkozy’s Union for a Popular Movement was “not assured of winning the presidential election,” the CIA issued the espionage order, entitled “Non-Ruling Political Parties and Candidates Strategic Election Plans,” in order to better inform U.S.-France policy, according to the documents.

Among the specific instructions for spies were orders to obtain Sarkozy’s private talks “on the other candidates” as well as his own advisors. The agency valued information pertaining to changes in the party’s “perceived vulnerabilities to maintaining power” and its ideological direction, as well as Sarkozy’s interest in “the continuation of the party’s dominance,” the documents show.

WikiLeaks cites a previous 2012 espionage order calling for the discovery of details on any potential French export contract or deal valued at $200 million or more as seeming to be connected to specific CIA tasks under the “Strategic Election Plans” order. Those tasks asked the questions: “What policies do they promote to help boost France’s economic growth prospects?” and “What are their opinions on the German model of export-led growth?”

Additionally, the CIA wanted to know the candidates’ positions on the Greek debt crisis and the roles of France and Germany in its management, along with information regarding the “specific proposals and recommendations” for and consequences of a Greek default on France’s government and banks.

The leaked documents were classified and for U.S. eyes only, marked “NOFORN” because they contained “Friends-on-Friends sensitivities.”

WikiLeaks claims this most recent release will serve as “context” for its anticipated Vault 7 series.

It comes at a time of relentless speculation over Russia’s influence over the Trump administration and the November presidential election, as well as reported divisions in the White House since controversial leaks led to the resignation of General Michael Flynn as national security advisor to President Donald Trump.

Australian Former Judges, MPs, Clergy Oppose Netanyahu Visit

Australian Former Judges, MPs, Clergy Oppose Netanyahu Visit

A group of more than 60 prominent Australians signed a statement denouncing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the country this week, saying that his policies are inconsistent with the nation’s values and beliefs.

Netanyahu’s arrival in Australia on Wednesday will mark the nation’s first visit by a sitting Israeli prime minister. It also follows Netanyahu’s visit last week to the U.S., where U.S. President Donald Trump said he would be open to a Mideast peace agreement that doesn’t include separate states for Israel and Palestinians.

Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has said that he still supports a two-state solution.

Former parliamentarians, senior legal professionals and clergy signed the statement released Sunday by the Australia Palestine Advocacy Network, a group that describes itself as a national coalition of organizations and individuals seeking to influence Australia’s public policy on Palestine and Israel. Signatories include businesswoman Janet Holmes a Court, former Solicitor General Gavan Griffith and former Federal Court judge Murray Rutledge Wilcox.

“It is time for the suffering of the Palestinian people to stop and for Australia to take a more balanced role in supporting the application of international law and not supporting Mr. Netanyahu and his policies,” they wrote in the statement.

The statement was released ahead of planned protests in Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney to coincide with the leader’s visit.

In addition to meeting with Turnbull, Netanyahu is expected to speak with opposition leader Bill Shorten and New South Wales state Premier Gladys Berejiklian during his visit.
