What do the people of Las Vegas imagine they will drink when all the cheap, easy water is gone? Will they swallow dust and pretend it's water?

The sobering truth is that nearly everyone who lives in Las Vegas doesn't think about this. By definition, anyone who realized the truth about the disappearing water throughout Nevada, Arizona and California would have already sold their property and moved away. Those who still inhabit regions with unsustainable water supplies -- such as Sao Paulo -- are choosing to make believe the problem doesn't exist.

This delusional psychology is, of course, reflected across modern human civilization and its governments, where delusional rhetoric and make believe fantasies about "endless economic growth" keep the obedient masses toiling away day after day, hoping they are securing a future which has already been mortgaged away.

We're often tricked into believing the government will solve all these problems for us. Yep, some Americans foolishly believe the same government which just issued $1 trillion in new debt to pay the interest on its existing debt is somehow really, really good at planning for the future instead of mortgaging it away. If fresh water were a bank account, the world's spending deficit against that account would be deeply in the red and approaching a tipping point of default. And in precisely the same way the U.S. government borrows money to cover today's expenses with no intention of ever paying it back, human society is also borrowing water to cover today's water demands with no intention or capability of ever paying it back.

Right now in California and around the world, farmers are pumping water out of the ground that should have remained there until the year 2030. As they keep pumping the aquifers dry, they'll be reaching ever more precariously forward into the future, using up water in 2015 that should have lasted until 2050 (or beyond).

In this same way, aquifers that should have lasted 100 - 200 years will be bone dry in the not-too-distant future. Farms that once produced food will instead produce a new Dust Bowl. The world's governments -- all of which rely on food affordability to keep populations relatively docile -- will find themselves facing mass revolts and social chaos.

And so the citizens of the world will greedily drink down the very last drop of water remaining. They will fill their fuel tanks with the last gallon of gas; clear-cut the last remaining forest; fish the oceans into mass marine extinction; mine the last remaining rare earth elements out of the ground; and dam up the last free-flowing river on the planet. The appetite of Earthlings for immediate satiation and quick-turnaround profits can only lead to self-destruction.

Have no illusions that if oxygen in the atmosphere could be turned into solid gold, people everywhere around the world would be incessantly mining the atmosphere for profit until the entire global population died of asphyxiation. With their very last breath, they'd be saying, "But I'm RICH!"

This is a very serious situation that no one is taking seriously. About three years ago, do to very little rainfall, one of our biggest resevoirs, The Morse resevoir, dried up.
The solution was to simply reroute water from another resevoir to the homes and businesses of those being serviced by Morse. People living at the Morse resevoir were angry because they could not enjoy taking their boats out or swimming and they paid big money for these luxuries. Once the ground water is gone, our oceans will be drained and the process of turning ocean water into drinking water is very expensive. Yes, fruits and vegetables are still being grown, however a lot of these fruits and vegetables are being wasted on the trees or vines. People have to dehydrate a lot of these fruits and vegetables so that there will be enough food for the future, however no matter how bad it gets, no one will think of that until it is too late. If the planet Nibiru does get as close to Earth as predicted in 2015 our temperature will be much hotter then we are used to and the oceans will take their toll. How many people in the past have died of thirst while trudging their way through a desert full of water filled cactus plants? We humans are not able to survive unless we can buy our food or drink, because we do not know how to look for it. People also don't seem to think that any major changes will take place for another fifty to one hundred years, even though these changes are taking place right now.

AL SHARPTON: 'We Are Dealing With A National Crisis' Of Police Violence

The Rev. Al Sharpton declared the country is in a "national crisis" after another high-profile grand jury declined to indict a white police officer involved in the death of an African-American man.

"How many people have to die before people understand this is not an illusion, this is a reality that America has got to come to terms with," Sharpton said at a Harlem press conference with Garner's family.

Earlier in the day a Staten Island grand jury decided to not bring charges against Daniel Pantaleo, an NYPD officer who was filmed placing 43-year-old Eric Garner in an apparent chokehold in July. Chokeholds are against police policy in New York City.

Sharpton directly connected the Garner controversy to other fatal incidents between local police departments and unarmed black men. Notably, the city of Ferguson, Missouri, was rocked by violent protests last week after a grand jury decided to not indict Darren Wilson in the death of 18-year-old Michael Brown. Angry demonstrations have also erupted in Manhattan.

"We are dealing with a national crisis," Sharpton said, accusing local prosecutors of being tainted by bias in these sorts of cases. "No amount of secret grand juries with local prosecutors that put up evidence that we do not know is going to stop people from raising the questions and demanding the answers."

Sharpton, a close ally of both the Garner and Brown families, also embraced the federal investigation into Garner's death. The veteran civil rights activist said he was organizing a rally in Washington in support of Justice Department intervention.

"A week from this Saturday, Dec. 13, we are having a national march in Washington, DC where we are calling for the Justice Department to take this case and the case in Ferguson and the case in Cleveland," he said. "It is time for a national march to deal with a national crisis."

Garner's family agreed and said they were "so happy" with the federal investigation. They were less happy, however, with the apology offered by Pantaleo, the officer involved in his death.

Asked if she accepted his condolences, Garner's widow shouted, "Hell no!"
