When I read the articles, blogs and posts that come to me from the US and Canada I'm always amazed how difficult it still is for you to get things like specialist italian cheese etc. Here in the UK most of us are within 30 miles of a city or 50 from a large city. Because of the big population per square mile we have a greater chance of having a mix of races and cultures near to us. Although this has changed our traditional patterns it has widened our horizons to. I forget that so much good food has come out of Europe and that we are, although a group of islands here in the UK, part of Europe. I will; try to share some stuff with you but realise that with your bigger distances and social/racial mixes it is not obvious that a certain item will be available to you. There is no doubt that within your borders it is possible to get even more variety than us but often only in dense urban areas. it is so exciting though to share. I had never tasted pumpkin pie till I came to the US. Roger
