RE: POTW Feedback

So Far we have seen the POTW Forum hit decent Votes this week
.

Yes i'm patting you all on the back for a nice job done.

OK Here is something from a former adlandpro member on his views of Adlandpro
This is a Feedback Forum and only Adlandpro Members view it.Let's discuss what he writes in another Social Network.

HIS COMMENTS
In many respects you could say I got my social start on Adlandpro, but as with anything online these days.. relevance is king! (ya... I know.. so is content ;-)
For some people perhaps Adlandpro is still relevant, it serves a purpose for them, and mayb
e in time their needs and desires will change and they too will move on from Adlandpro. That's not for me to say.. nor do I advocate to anyone that they should leave. If it works for your purposes.. Great! If not and you're still there.. that's ok too! lol
In many respects Bogdan was a visionary, because Adland was an early step away from the basic forum format and towards something much more social. It allowed a direct interaction where people could communicate in near real time, develop trust and hopefully some commerce.
The one thing that hit me however.. is that for the most part people are advertising to other people who are advertising to people who are advertising... and nobody's buying!
I also grew very dissatisfied with the immaturity of some of the people and their petty bickering, and I get a strong sense that a some people there continue in this behavior to this day!
This code of conduct discussed here could have been an answer to stop many of these behaviors!
For me times have changed.. and there are so many other social venues, notably Facebook and Google +, Twitter, LinkedIn and lots more!
I'm always going to be grateful for what I've learned there, but Adland is not particularly relevant to me in my present daily online activities.
I met many people in Adland.. made some good contacts.. and from that some lifelong friends!
No..I don't go there very often these days.. but I'm also not in any hurry to cancel my account because it still presents an opportunity for me to reach people...

Ok Friends Mull this over and see how we can change things for the better in the adlandpro community.I know this forum is Feedback to the POTW Forum but it all relates back to it in the whole.

OH PLEASE, Let me say something.

There are two right off the bat that I would start with.

This is a Feedback Forum and only Adlandpro Members view it

This statement I don't think is true. Everyone with a internet connection can see everything here that is posted without an account or being a member.

Just can't post. Right?

I also grew very dissatisfied with the immaturity of some of the people and their petty bickering, and I get a strong sense that a some people there continue in this behavior to this day!

Really? Where in the world they ever get that idea? OK, no names but we all know……..

Hi Mark

Yes people can see it if they chose but the thing if there is a problem we are here to nip it in the bud.Social Networks (example) FB.
FB shoots at friends chatting about there daily lives you know what they chat about in there and it's way worse than adlandpro.
FB got so Huge that it's #1 in all aspects from Family,Friends to huge Business and advertising programs. It's according to who your friends and family are.It can get bad in there at times. So do we invite family and friends to adlandpro that may or may not disrupt the community ??? (Good question) And How do we regulate what goes on in adland.
My point of posting MR X comments is show that nothing is perfect but it can be made a better ,Richer community for the neds of the people in the community.

I've also promoted the election thread in other ad sites, BUT my point here is...

Why is there an AD for ClickVoyager in this Feedback thread?

Why are 2 people here trying to gain downliners in another site here? It's nice to promote the POTW election at other sites, but why use this Feedback thread as a self-promotion to gain downliners somewhere else? Also why offer advertising credits to people who just come into the POTW election and click a dot for someone they may not even know?

Also, I think it's more traffic-productive to incentivize COMMENTS at the poll threads, and not incentivize votes.

When people just come in and click the dot to vote and then get 10,000 credits for CV for voting here, and if they don't make a comment in the poll, where's the traffic?

The comments generate the traffic, both in the Post History AND in the signature files.

Anonymous no-comment voting is not generating QUALITY traffic.

More people could decide to post COMMENTS at the poll if the comments were incentivized, either by choosing Commenters Of The Week, or by making a list of commenters who have links to Adlandpro forums in their signature files, and adding that list to the end of the winner's Congrats thread.

I'd like to see QUALITY INNER-COMMUNITY TRAFFIC generated at the election threads.

Incentivizing votes and posting an AD for another site in this Feedback thread is not generating QUALITY INNER-COMMUNITY TRAFFIC.
