Dear friends,
Below is a beautiful and most interesting article by Steve Beckow which deals, of all topics, with the unity of religions. I sincerely recommend you read it.

Depiction of Jesus

Aug. 11, 2010

A reader says:

“I find what you say about the end of times very intriguing. I am a Christian and I also believe that we should be watchful for things unseen that are coming our way.

“However I guess we would disagree on the nature of the end of ages. While I am naturally open minded, in the course of time I came to believe that there is only one God. This God revealed himself in the Bible as well as in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

“This same God has stated that we will not be able to discern the time when the world will end, but that in the end of days there will be an overflow of persuasive but deceptive teachings that will confuse us and hide the truth from us.

“Anyway, I just want to be real honest with you, I am skeptical of your views. However I would really like to know why it is that you are absolutely convinced of the 2012 scenario. Seems to be based on a patchwork of bits and pieces of different, often contradictory religions.”

Thank you for writing.

I agree with you. There’s only one God. That God exists as everything that is. He, She or It (God has no gender) is manifest and unmanifest, was, is, and always will be the All in all, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent. Existing beyond the universe, is it hard to conceive that this same God is worshiped by Christians and Hindus and Muslims and Jews, to name but a few of God’s worshipers?

In recent years a significant doubt has been raised about whether the Biblical record has been tampered with or not. So I’m no longer really sure whether Jesus actually actually said: “I am the way, the truth and the life.” But, presuming he did, I think that the “I” that he would have been referring to here would have been the “Self,” not Jesus the historical person or even Jesus the spirit. (1) This Self is a fragment of the All-Self, the Universal Self that God is. Christians call it the “Christ.” Hindus call it the “Atman.” What difference lies in a name?

This Self, Christ or Atman is the truth. And knowing that Self is theway to God, Knowing God brings an end to needing to be reborn and so knowing God through knowing the Self brings eternal life in the sense of not needing to be reborn and die again.

The Hindus also have a Trinity and it turns out, in my opinion, to be the same Trinity that Christians worship. People on this site have heard me talk about this before so I’ll simply refer you to those articles. (2) It turns out to be the same because the Trinity is real; it exists; it is eternal.

If yours is the apocalyptic vision of the end of time, yes, we disagree. But then we would also disagree that this is the end of time. Time will end in a manner of speaking. And this is the end of a cycle. But it is also the beginning of another cycle. We won’t disappear nor will experience be discontinuous. Life will continue and we along with it.

I belong to a community of spiritual seekers who augment their knowledge of and love for Jesus and other spiritual masters with a consideration of other sources of information. We listen to angels and archangels as well as ascended masters, members of the White Brotherhood. The latter are known to students of mysticism but not to others generally.

We listen to galactic teachers who surround this planet but do not interfere with our free will until a certain period is reached in these end times. Then, we think, they’ll help us to complete this cycle successfully and without blowing each other apart.

We listen to contemporary enlightened teachers, intuitives, spiritual scholars, indigenous leaders, all of whom also share a certain body of knowledge about these end times.

The name of Mohammed

That body of knowledge tells us that, at the end of a cosmic cycle such as we’re approaching in this period leading up to winter solstice, 2012, a period of human history is drawing to a close and a new cycle beginning. The very events that Jesus and his disciples described in certain passages of the Bible are indeed occurring for us in this end-of-cycle time while others are not.

From all our sources, we hear commonly that this end of cycle will see a return of the saints and sages, who’ve summoned the galactics to assist them, and a cleansing of the population through the reception of light from cosmic sources, followed by a planetary transformation, which all of us on this site are working towards and for.

There are no idle people here, no fanciful followers of low spiritual practices, no “dreamers” or simple-minded folk. We have carefully weighed the messages that we follow. We don’t hold that revelation ended with the transition of Jesus to the heavenly planes. We follow his further messages from the spirit planes and those of others as well,

I don’t see what we study as bits and pieces. I think of it more as cross-cultural spirituality. The various religions and scriptures that we study are not contradictory. Far from it. They reinforce each other. Some of us have found the common language of religions, sometimes called the Perennial Philosophy or Ancient Wisdom. We are familiar with the code the Bible was written in. We can match the Bible’s wisdom to that of other spiritual traditions and we look upon that as a good thing.

So you’re welcome to browse our materials. There’s no requirement that you accept them. Time will tell and we’re content to let events unfold. We’ll see whether we’re accurate in our point of view or not and we’re as eager to see the outcome as you.

Thank you for dropping by. Feel free to come again. Please don’t leave thinking we do not respect and love Jesus because we do. And we also think that we’re doing his work, just as you are on your site.

It’s been a pleasure having a spiritual chat with you.

Namaste,

Dear friends,

I have previously posted this on the main thread of this forum (Is the New Age Really Coming?), but it clearly belongs rather in this thread.

In effect, the winds of change are now stronger than ever all over the world, and this is evidenced by the ever increasing worldwide developments of these days.
However, are there any spiritual, more transcendental changes in ourselves at the same time? And do these changes - if any - follow the popular effervescence that we can more and more witness now on a daily basis? Still more: do they precede - and somehow produce - those daily events?

In other words, is there a most powerful and transcendental spiritual force that is making people to act as they are at present?

As also mentioned in the same thread,
anyone interested in the metaphysical or spiritual subject can perceive, both intuitively and by reasoning, the truth about this in the below "Daily Insight" (it was posted yesterday in this forum HERE).

Your friend,

Luis Miguel Goitizolo

Even though we appear only vaguely aware of our divine possibilities, the world is on the eve of the greatest spiritual revival it has ever had;"

"and not just a revival of religious convictions, but a revival of spiritual realities. After having passed through an age of scientificism, when people were afraid of being thought fools, unless they could give what seemed like a logical answer to everything, we are now witnessing a strange phenomenon in the evolution of thought and intelligence. Many of our leading scientific minds, having apparently analyzed the material universe to a vanishing point, are beginning to consider the spiritual and mental as being real. Marvelous as the previous age has been, its material frontier is falling into a state of collapse. Objective empire has pushed us as far as it can go without the invisible; and we are just entering a period of discovery on a new frontier, which will not collapse or exhaust itself"

Insight:
"Instead of coming to a point of exhaustion, we continue to arrive at new points of expansion."

Origin of Stonehenge rocks discovered

Stonehenge breakthrough adds to mystery

Experts hunt down the exact spot where the rocks originated — but that only stirs up more questions. 'Remarkable'

Researchers in the United Kingdom have finallysolved a major piece of Stonehenge's enduring mystery: the place of origin for some of the ancient structure's most-famous rock formations.

The National Museum Wales and Leicester University have identified the source as Craig Rhos-y-felin, located more than 100 miles from the Stonehenge site. But this discovery, of course, just opens on to another mystery--namely, just how and why an ancient culture carved and transported the giant stones over such a great distance.

"Being able to provenance any archaeologically significant rock so precisely is remarkable," Dr. Rob Ixer of Leicester University told the BBC. "However, given continued perseverance, we are determined that we shall uncover the origins of most, if not all of the Stonehenge bluestones so allowing archaeologists to continue their speculations well into a third century."

This past year has offered a wealth of new research and discoveries at the Stonehenge site, including last month's announcement that the worshipers at the ancient monument had erected "sun worship" sites there.

Over the past nine months, the researchers compared mineral content and textural relationships of the rhyolite debitage stones found at Stonehenge and were finally able to pinpoint the location to within several meters of their source. Ninety-nine percent of the samples could be matched to the rocks found at Craig Rhos-y-felin, which differ from all others found in south Wales.

Further research should help the researchers eventually understand how the rocks made the long journey to Stonehenge sometime between 3000 and 1600 BC. "Many have asked the question over the years, how the stones got from Pembrokeshire to Stonehenge," said Dr. Richard Bevins, National Museum Wales. "Thanks to geological research, we now have a specific source for the rhyolite stones from which to work and an opportunity for archaeologists to answer the question that has been widely debated."

Some working theories speculate that the rocks were transported over water up the Bristol Channel and River Avon. However, recent efforts to recreate the voyage, including one in 2000 sponsored by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, have all ended in failure.

Below is a special episode of 'Who Knew?' about the Winter Solstice, a holiday that has been celebrated through most of human history. Ancient Romans called it Saturnalia, Hopi indians have Soyal, and Christmas, too, is influenced by the celestial calendar.

And here is last month's announcement that the worshippers at the ancient monument had erected "sun worship" sites in it, as said in our previous post

Archaeologists make new Stonehenge 'sun worship' find

StonehengeThe pits are positioned on celestial alignment at the site and may have contained stones

Related Stories

Two previously undiscovered pits have been found at Stonehenge which point to it once being used as a place of sun worship before the stones were erected.

The pits are positioned on celestial alignment at the site and may have contained stones, posts or fires to mark the rising and setting of the sun.

An international archaeological survey team found the pits as part of the Stonehenge Hidden Landscapes Project.

The team is using geophysical imaging techniques to investigate the site.

The archaeologists from the University of Birmingham and the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Archaeological Prospection in Vienna have been surveying the subsurface at the landmark since summer 2010.

Procession route

It is thought the pits, positioned within the Neolithic Cursus pathway, could have formed a procession route for ancient rituals celebrating the sun moving across the sky at the midsummer solstice.

A Cursus comprises two parallel linear ditches with banks either side closed off at the end.

Also discovered was a gap in the northern side of the Cursus, which may have been an entrance and exit point for processions taking place within the pathway.

These discoveries hint that the site was already being used as an ancient centre of ritual prior to the stones being erected more than 5,000 years ago, the team said.

Archaeologist and project leader at Birmingham University, Professor Vince Gaffney, said: "This is the first time we have seen anything quite like this at Stonehenge and it provides a more sophisticated insight into how rituals may have taken place within the Cursus and the wider landscape."
