Asia Shocks West By Demanding Their Gold Be Sent Home

gold barssage: We already know that Asia was “storing” gold in the US, some of it under the World Trade Centre which we all know was brought down on 9/11 in an attempt to thwart NESARA from being implemented. And we already know that Asia wants their gold back. And now it is being announced in mainstream, albeit with a bit of an explanation fit more for the old 3D world – but it is out there!

By Keith Barron, King World News – August 15, 2013

http://tinyurl.com/mwzjh6m

After an initial $20 plunge, the price of gold turned violently higher and closed near the highs in what turned out to be almost a $50 trading range. In the aftermath of this turbulent trading, today one of the legends in the business shocked King World News when he said the reason for the wild trading action was that Asian central banks were demanding their gold, some of which is being stored in Western vaults, be sent home to Asia.

Keith Barron, who consults with major companies around the world and is responsible for one of the largest gold discoveries in the last quarter century, also spoke about the stunning reason for this game-changing move by Asian central banks. Below is what Barron had to say in this powerful interview.

Barron: “Gold and silver are having a fierce rally on the heels of a release from the World Gold Council, but I will discuss the remarkable events which are taking place behind the scenes that are the real reason for this rally in just a minute. First, this World Gold Council report discussed outflows of gold from the ETFs. They were also confirming what KWN has already reported — that this gold is going straight into Asia.

Somebody from UBS was interviewed this morning, and they were also saying, ‘The gold leaving the COMEX vaults is likely headed to Asia.’ It’s obvious this is what has been happening for many, many months now. If you look at the premiums in Shanghai today, they are running at a steep $22….

“So it’s become quite apparent that bullion banks have been taking the gold out of the ETFs and capturing the premium in Asia by selling the ETF gold overseas. But the interesting thing here is the physical demand, and I have been discussing this on King World News for some time.

There was a 37% increase in jewelry demand, a staggering 78% increase in gold bar and coin demand, and there was also a 63% increase in investment demand. These are remarkable numbers. There was a stunning 71% rise in total demand from India, and an 85% rise in demand from China.

There were some additional jaw-dropping numbers that have come out of China in a separate report. During the second quarter there were 385.5 tons of gold consumed in China through jewelry. That is a huge percentage of world production, and that figure is double what was recorded in the previous year. That’s absolutely astounding.

This data is also indicating a massive rise in the importation of gold into China from the previous year. Demand for gold is just exploding all over the place. In India they just increased the gold import duty once again. It’s been rising steadily from 2% to 8%, but India just raised it again — this time to 10%.

It is highly likely that the Western central planners, the Fed and the ECB specifically, have demanded that the Indians impose these taxes and duties in a desperate attempt to choke off physical demand for gold in India. Western central planners can’t use much influence on China, but they can strong-arm India.

So there has been an attempt by the Central Bank of India to greatly decrease the amount of money going into physical gold, but it’s not working. People always find another way to get physical gold. Gold is now the most seized material at the borders and at the airports in India.

There is a very, very healthy black market for smuggled gold into India. This is what happens when you try to artificially kill demand. The people of India want the gold, and the authorities are desperately trying to kill it off and they are not being successful. So the gold is being supplied through the black market and smuggling, and that will just continue.”

Eric King: “These desperate attempts by the Western central planners to stop the flow of gold into India. It feels like whatever gold is left in Western central bank vaults is quickly being depleted. Meaning, they don’t have the gold to continue to supply to India and the rest of Asia after the most recent failed attempt to discourage physical buying blew up in their faces.

Barron: “The Fed certainly doesn’t want to see the COMEX blow up. In our last interview I said to you that this price suppression in the gold market is not sustainable. You just can’t have this physical gold pouring, and I do mean pouring out of the West and going to the East without serious dislocations. And it will blow up the COMEX.

The Americans certainly don’t want to see this because that would precipitate an even greater run on physical gold. So the situation is becoming quite desperate and that’s why you are seeing the explosion in both gold and silver today. The Fed and the ECB are desperately trying to hold the system together, but at the end of the day they are losing the ability to control the rapid loss of confidence that is taking hold.

Western central banks claim that there is a lot of physical gold available for purchase. That is pure propaganda and a lie. I now have reason to believe that Asian central banks are requesting that their gold, some of which has been stored in the West, be sent to Asia. This is what is causing the short covering rally in gold. The Asians know the Western gold system is very close to collapse and they want the physical gold in their possession.

This is what is happening behind the scenes. A very large part of the 1,300 tons of gold that was shipped out of the Bank of England, and gold that is being shipped out of the Fed as well, is going into the vaults in China and other parts of Asia. There is a massive run on physical gold right now and this is creating a squeeze.

The bottom line is the Western fractional reserve gold system is now on the edge of collapse and the Asians know it. You can expect to see many more days like this in the future as the run on physical gold intensifies and the squeeze accelerates.”

Church of England Re-Examines Paedophile Priests’ Files as Archbishop Pulls Out of UK Animal Charity Role

Stephen: While Pope Francis ensures the Catholic Church undergoes its transformation, it seems the Church of England is also making its own moves. This first story deals with the church’s investigations into paedophile priests.

Paedophile Priests: Church Re-Examines Files Dating Back 60 Years

By John Bingham, Religious Affairs Editor, The Telegraph UK – August 17, 2013

Church of England files dating back more than 60 years are to be reopened in search of evidence of child abuse by clergy who have since died.

The Archbishop of York, the Most Rev John Sentamu, ordered the review as he acknowledged that previous inquiries could have missed important evidence because only files relating to those still living were examined.

It comes after an independent inquiry, overseen by Judge Sally Cahill QC, into the Church’s handling of evidence that the late Robert Waddington, a former Dean of Manchester, abused choirboys and school pupils, got under way.

It will investigate claims that the Province of York effectively covered the case up by failing to alert the police while Waddington was still alive.

Dr Sentamu has now ordered a separate review of personnel files dating back at least as far as 1950 in search of evidence against other clerics who have since died.

Last month the Church’s General Synod voted to issue a formal apology to the victims of sexual abuse for failing to take their complaints seriously.

The Archbishop said: “The damage done by the sexual abuse of children is immense, and the passage of time does not in itself bring healing.

“Where young people are shown to have been betrayed by individuals in a position of trust and by the institution’s failure to protect them, it is for the Church to acknowledge the hurt which has been done, to offer a full apology, and to prove, so far as is possible, that policies and practices are improved such that the same systemic failure could never be repeated.”

The Archbishop of Canterbury has broken long-standing tradition by rejecting a role at the top of the RSPCA in a move which will end decades of Church leadership of the charity.

Stephen: Meanwhile, The Church of England has longheld the symbolic – yet influential – role as Vice Patron of the 180-year-old animal welfare charity, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA). While some are saying that this is a snub to the organisation following accusations it has been using court cases to increase its own revenue, could it also be the Church pulling back from playing such a seminal role in an external organisation, thus relinquishing it’s own influence?

Archbishop Justin Welby Snubs RSPCA After Refusing Lead Role

By Alice Philipson, The Telegraph, UK – August 17, 2013

The Archbishop of Canterbury has broken long-standing tradition by rejecting a role at the top of the RSPCA in a move which will end decades of Church leadership of the charity.

The decision by the Most Rev Justin Welby to decline the role of vice-patron will be seen by many as a snub to an organisation which faces accusations it has lost its way.

The announcement comes just a week after the charity faced calls to give up its role as a criminal prosecutor amid claims it is using court cases as a means of increasing its revenue.

In the past two years the number of convictions secured by the RSPCA has almost doubled, despite no rise in complaints to its animal cruelty telephone hotline.

The Archbishop’s rejection of the role is particularly striking given his four predecessors – Rowan Williams, George Carey, Robert Runcie and Donald Coggan – all took on honorary roles within the RSPCA.

It is likely to be seen as a deliberate distancing from a charity which has links with the church since its inception in 1834, when it was founded by a London vicar.

Lambeth Palace told The Times: “Since taking office in March this year, the Archbishop has received many kind invitations to patron a large variety of charities and good causes. Each invitation has been an honour, and in an ideal world he would like to accept them all.

“However, in light of the sheer volume of requests the Archbishop receives, and the many pressures on his time and resources, he has reluctantly decided to restrict his patronage to a manageable number of organisations, based on where he feels his support could be most beneficial.

“Nevertheless, the Archbishop has enormous admiration for the RSPCA and hopes to see its work thrive long into the future.”

Earlier this year the RSPCA was accused of wasting tens of thousands of pounds of taxpayers’ money after a case involving a hunt collapsed.

The charity had accused a family of interfering with a badger sett while assisting the Cheshire Hunt, but almost a year later the case fell apart when the charity admitted there was not enough evidence and the prosecution withdrew the case.

The cost of defence, estimated to be around £10,000, was paid by the taxpayer.

RSPCA chief Gavin Grant has repeatedly denied the charity’s aggressive tactics are driven by politics.

Tim Bonner, head of campaigns at the Countryside Alliance, said: “The RSPCA maintains that its increasingly political agenda is having no effect on the organisation, but the loss of a high-profile vice-patron suggests this is simply not the case.

“The RSPCA has a clear choice: is it an organisation interested in animal welfare or is it intent on pursuing a political agenda and using charitable funds to fight that cause? If it is the latter we can expect more local branch closures, more redundancies and fewer legacies and donations.”

The RSPCA said: “We have been informed by the Archbishop’s office that, due to the very large number of invitations he receives to support charities, he is not able to take on the position of vice-patron of the RSPCA. We respect that decision. The position of vice-patron is not held by every Archbishop of Canterbury as a matter of course.”

What’s Happening with Ascension?

Awake in the DreamThis interview was done in May 2013 for Awake in the Dream Radio, Laura Eisenhower and Dr. Dream interviewed me.

It’s about as extensive analysis of what was happening at that time as I think I may ever give. Not sure I could do it again! I hope I didn’t completely overwhelm poor Laura and the doctor!

(2) Steve Beckow, What’s Happening with Ascension?

(Takes about a minute to load. 46 minutes long.)

But being able to discuss the whole matter at one go showed me how much we’ve accomplished over the last few years – and when I say “we,” I mean all of us – defeating a planned World War III, FEMA camps, pandemics, vaccine scams, chemtrails, weather warfare, financial swindles, political corruption, judicial corruption, on and on the list goes. No matter how it was done and no matter who did it, we all had a hand in it.

And then the arenas of life that are slowly growing or improving – immense clearings, acknowledgement of a corrupt medical system, corrupt figures leaving our institutions, first hints of impending prosperity, rising levels of emotional wellbeing, collective compassion, a desire to share, the truth being revealed, events in consciousness in the offing, disclosure always in the background, on and on that list goes as well. It isn’t often that we get to speak or hear the full picture.

It was the first time I’d heard the tape since making it when I listened to the tape yesterday. And I myself really got it. We are absolutely building a world that works and there’s no reason to fear.

Is Egypt Doomed to Civil War or Breakdown?

Government forces have the backing of the people, analysts say [Reuters]

Government forces have the backing of the people, analysts say [Reuters]

By D. Parvaz, Al-Jazeera – August 17, 2013

http://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/features/2013/08/2013817191737368553.html

Armed conflict has been predicted by foreign commentators – but the greater threat is Egypt becoming a failed state.

Government forces have the backing of the people, analysts say [Reuters]

Cairo – The crisis currently hitting Egypt is an open wound evident even to those who do not follow the political fight between an interim government struggling for control and the supporters of a deposed president refusing to admit defeat.

It’s seen in the regular violent episodes that leave scores dead, usually on the side of those supporting the reinstatement of President Mohamed Morsi.

It’s visible in the burned and gutted buildings in Giza, Nasr Square and Rabaa.

It takes form in regular, random clashes between people on the street, paranoid, shouting, arming themselves with clubs and forming civilian roadblocks all over the city.

It’s no wonder then the possibility of Egypt falling into failed state status – a government failing in legitimacy and providing basic services and functions – or spiralling into a civil war, has dominated much of the international discourse on the country’s future.

International analysts, pundits and diplomats warn that if left unchecked, the violence in Egypt could escalate into civil war. However, Egyptian commentators disagree. They say that the Muslim Brotherhood, the main opponent to the military-backed government, could never become an effective armed group, and is losing support. Besides, the Brotherhood has never threatened war to achieve its aim of the return of its president.

However, the country faces the very real danger of becoming a failed state, according to political analyst Amr Adly, if the political crisis continues to drag on.

The country was teetering on the brink of failure even before the latest bout of violence. The 2013 Fund for Peace Failed State Index ranked Egypt’s status as critical, naming it the 34th least-stable country out of 178.

Given the political instability, a month-long declared state of emergency called by the interim regime, and the disruption of banking and financial markets, the situation does not look set to improve for some time to come.

Economically, the country has been struggling for some time, and the recent political upheavals have not helped.

“We will have a long transitional period, and with that comes all the instability and violence that will continue to endanger state institutions,” said Adly.

Government bonds and the EGX30, Egypt’s security stock index, have slumped. Shops and restaurants in most quarters of the capital remained closed for a third day as cash machines ran dry in downtown Cairo.

Even the $12 billion or so in aid from Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Kuwait is unlikely to get Egypt through the current turmoil.

“This can’t support Egypt’s transitional period for more than five or six months – maybe a year. It can’t be counted on as the Brotherhood counted on money from Qatar during Morsi’s time,” said Adly.

He added that the current interim government “does not have a political mandate to tackle the economic issues – this isn’t a caretaker government that can cut expenses, cut subsidies and raise taxes.

And what’s really needed for economic stability – political stability – is nowhere in sight.

Still, Adly noted that the Brotherhood was a non-ruling minority and had no chance of getting the sort of support needed to be a real threat to the state.

“Egypt is not Syria,” he said.

‘Exaggerated threat’

Hassan Nafaa, a professor of political science at Cairo University, agreed, and said he was even optimistic about the country’s future, and that the threats of civil meltdown or war were “very much exaggerated”.

“There will be no civil war or failed state,” said Nafaa, adding that he believed the crisis had a silver lining.

“Although it is a fact that the Brotherhood has never before challenged the state apparatus in such an open way – but they are losers.” The majority of Egyptians were with the army and security forces, he added.

“The Brotherhood are now seen for what they really are…a group with links to old terrorism groups. In the long run, this is good for the country because it means Egypt will shuffle its cards and move toward establishing a real democratic system.”

Political analyst Abdallah al-Sennawy agreed, saying that while there was a possibility of armed confrontation, the Brotherhood did not have the support necessary to become a true threat to government or social unity.

While the recent violent episodes – including the clearing of two pro-Morsi sit-ins that left over 600 dead – had created an anxious atmosphere in the country, it has also galvanised Egyptians against the Brotherhood.

That, al-Sennawy told Al Jazeera, made a civil war unlikely.

‘The state is strong’

“The Egyptian state is strong and is backed by strong popular support,” he said. “There might be a temporary and limited terrorist threat but the state will be able to conquer it within a few months, just like it conquered terrorism in the 1990s.”

He said that Friday’s clashes in Ramses Square, which left at least 95 dead after a coalition of protesters against the military held a rally there, was “the peak” of the crises which “will not be repeated”.

He said the Brotherhood had lost popular support, and that any resort to violence would be an “expression of despair, not a sign of power.

Nabil Naeem, a former leading figure in the Al-Jama’a al-Jihadiya armed group, said he believed that no one in Egypt had the means of challenging the military in open conflict.

“The Brotherhood … has not turned into an armed group because its leaders are not capable,” said Naeem.

He said that the armed groups in the largely lawless Sinai region, would be considerably weakened once the Brotherhood became unable to offer them financial support and political cover.

Naeem also said that such groups would remain limited in the peninsula, and would be arrested if they attempted to move around the country.
