Aisha North: The Manuscript of Survival – Part 270

As channeled by Aisha North – February 18, 2013

http://aishanorth.wordpress.com

We know that for some of you, this time has been a time of discord. For where is the much promised ”promised land”? You gaze about and all you see is exactly the same as your eyes landed upon back in the old days of 2012. Well, we are here to mayhaps give you another glimpse into the unseen, as what you have been fastening your eyes upon may not be the whole truth of your existence.

For what you have been trained to acknowledge, is a mere superficial world of illusion and despair, and as such, deep inside, the longing for something so much more profound is growing day by day. And rightly so. For, if this was a case of ”what you see is what you get”, then this existence would be a sorry one indeed, with little or no room for improvement.

But think again, as we say, because what you actually see is not what you will be getting, for what you see are just the remnants of the old that is slowly but surely starting to fade way. And fade it will, in some cases more abruptly than you could have thought, as the news coming your way via the airwaves and the mass media have more than stated clearly. For you see, this old garment of fear and disillusionment has already started to rip at the seams, and this unraveling process has gained momentum, and will continue to do so.

We gather that many of you have already started to sit up more alert in your chairs following the dramatic events of just last week, concering both earthly and more celestial powers of various kinds. So yes, this is indeed an interesting time to be alive, and certainly an interesting time to behold.

For remember, you as the wayshowers have already taken it upon yourselves to prepare for what is to come, and you have jettisoned the old baggage that so many of your fellow men are still dragging behind them. And as such, you will be literally free to take action as soon as you see the opportunities start to arise around you. And now, thanks to the lessening of the grip of that old and conservative in every sense of the word, the spurts of new growth will start to emerge in evey nook and cranny. So the old guard will be literally caught off guard, and even if they try, they cannot manage to rustle up enough power to stop this process from taking place. And they know it too, because they too can read the signs coming their way.

After all, it is not as if they are written in minuscule letters hidden somewhere in an obscure channel. No, the signs have become loud and clear now, and they will continue to amplify and magnify as you move towards spring on your half of the globe. For this year, the spring in the north will herald spring all over the globe, and the autumn falling on the other half of your globe will signal the end of the old brigade. So they will be fading away, just like the colors of the fall, and they will tumble to the ground as they lose the grip on their powers, just like the leaves must relinquish their hold on the branches on the tree.

But just like those leaves, nothing of the old will come to waste, as it will serve as nutrition for the new saplings starting to poke through the dense cover on the forest floor. For this is a cycle dear ones, and the energy contained even in the most backwards and stubborn of souls will serve to energize everything else as soon as it is liberated from the old husk of negation.

So again we say that you have chosen well, as you have chosen to be here at this exact moment in time, to be participants in this cycle of rejuvenation and renewal. And by your very presence, you have made the wheels begin to turn, as you are the ones who did that formidable task of pushing and pulling with all of your might to get the wheels moving again after being stuck in a seemingly endless morass of muck for such a long time. And by your gargantuan efforts, the wheels finally started to move, and by your ability to not give up, you have now ensured that these wheels have started to move freely and on their own accord now.

So take this as another reminder that you have done the most challenging part of your task already, and from now on, you will focus on the rebuilding of things. And that is certainly much more rewarding than toiling in the muck with something that seems to be stuck there forever, and that refuses to budge no matter how frustrated you get. For even if frustration will raise its head now and then in the time ahead, it will not be for the same reason as before, because now you will sense that whatever gets these wheels to slow down is only a small hindrance or a little pebble holding you back, but only momentarily.

For now, the old swamp of disbelief and disempowerment has been left behind, and all you have to do is to keep yourselves moving along, and start to relish in the speed. Feel the wind in your hair, and know that this signals the wind of freedom, not only for you, but for this whole planet. And know that you will be propelled along by forces mightier than whatever the opposition to this forward momentum might try to throw in your way. For this journey cannot be stopped now, not by any earthly powers, nor by anything else.

Lady Quan Yin via Natalie Glasson: Reaping the Rewards of Ascension

Lady Quan YinChannelled through Natalie Glasson – February 17, 2013

http://www.omna.org/Latest_Free_Weekly_Message.html

It is with love that I pass my energies through the veils of illusion to surround and bathe your entire being. As my energies flow to you and with your acceptance, together we assist in dissolving the veils of illusion that you are still energising and holding onto in your physical reality.

It is with love that I am here to support your ascension, to guide and assist you in any way that you allow me to, you are after all holding the responsibility of your spiritual ascension on the Earth. It is through your abilities of accepting, allowing, realising, acknowledging and becoming, you assist yourself to furthering your spiritual ascension.

Let the energies of peace, harmony, truth and honesty flow into your energetic systems and body as I open my heart to you in love.

I, Lady Quan Yin wish to share a communication focused upon reaping the rewards of ascension. Through your ascension process there is an understanding that to follow a path to enlightenment brings such profound experiences of joy, happiness and bliss.

It is the truth that the more you allow yourself to let go of perspectives and material aspects that no longer serve you, the easier it is to find the energy of bliss within your being. It is the discipline of moving from an attached reality where bliss and happiness if created from the outside to a reality of freedom from attachments where joy comes from within you as an existence rather than a momentary experience.

At this present moment you are all experiencing this shift and have been for some time. This process will continue as it is a gradual process of realisations. You begin to realise with more intense confirmation that many of your experiences when connected to the outer world and disconnected from the energy and world within you are false creations.

They are creations that serve you at certain stages of your growth but when an experience causes a momentary upliftment then in many ways it is false, it is an outside creation. When joy or bliss emerges from within, filling your entire being and remaining with you as an aspect of your being (even if it is originally activated from something external but is truly felt within) this is a true experience of bliss, happiness and joy.

Another way of explaining is to say, when you have a true expression from within your being, you are focused on experiencing the energy of the expression. When the expression comes from an experience in your physical reality and your focus is the experience then this is not a true realisation or step towards ascension. Every moment that you are uplifted is positive as it increases your vibration but it is essential to bring harmony to the expressions that evolve from within so you will be creating a foundation for greater realisations and enlightenment to develop.

Many may believe that there are no rewards to reap from ascension and that it is simply a process that one feels drawn to experience to evolve and understand the universe and reality more fully. You may wish to ask yourself what is your main goal behind your pursuit of ascension? Is it a desire of wanting? You may also wish to ask yourself are you allowed to expect or accept rewards from ascension?

These are powerful questions that when answered truthfully will assist a shift in your ascension process of growth, allowing a strong core within to form. It is often that even those on a pathway of ascension are unclear as to the reasons they have chosen to travel such a pathway. If your reason is a physical experience then there is a need to connect with a deeper understanding or purer reason within you. With realisation of the reason you are following your spiritual path, you strengthen your inner core while even allowing your purpose to become evident to you.

If your reasons are so that you can feel more loved, may heal yourself, change your reality and so forth then these reasons will not serve you for the length of your ascension. There is a need to realise that many of the reasons you will form are actually opportunities and lessons to encourage you to grow. It is important not to discount these reasons because they show to you yourself in the present moment but to allow them to be tools to assist you in realising more of yourself.

Maybe there are desires of experiencing more love, more truth, more understanding or acceptance, it is often that we seek these from people, but if we choose to let go of the desires and simply acknowledge that everything we seek is within then we are creating true realisations, connecting deeper into a truth which is beyond illusions.

When we share that all you seek is within you, we are sharing with you that you no longer need to seek; it is the act of seeking for something that distracts you from the realisation that you are what you seek. For example, if you seek to be loved more fully or respected more deeply, you may never find a being or experience that allows you to feel or experience what you seek. If you dissolve the process of seeking but still hold the intention, knowing that you are already what you originally were seeking you will find within you more love and respect for yourself, which then attracts more people and situations that enact and mirror this for you.

Already you will see that there are rewards to be reaped. Many may believe that the greatest reward is the completion of ascension, but it is the many realisations and points of truth that you discover within your being that are your true rewards, these collected together create the most beautiful and constant state of awareness, love and upliftment.

Is it appropriate to acknowledge ascension as a process of rewards? It is my feeling that it is appropriate if you have an appropriate perspective. There are still those who are holding onto poverty consciousness as light workers on the Earth. Those that hold onto the experience of lack are not truly acknowledging the beautiful insights and awakening that has already been accessed within their beings.

There is a need to realise that ascension can be a process of experiencing beauty and plenty, because you are deserving of such plenty. Again there is no need to seek plenty, simply holding the intention that you always have plenty of all you need, with the knowingness that the creation of plenty comes from within your being, then manifesting in your outer world.

If you were able to achieve and manifest this realisation of plenty can you see that each step is a reward? Even the exp erience of lack is a reward because it fuels and encourages you to discover, connect with and manifest an alternative from and perspective within your being.

A reward can often be described as a payment or a prize in which you receive when you have achieved something. Maybe you feel that you shouldn’t be rewarded for your ascension path and the growth that you make? In that question you will find many new realisations to discover and old habits of lack and limitations. There is no need for you to be rewarded or to expect to be rewarded by the Creator for a kind deed or a realisation that you achieve.

As you peel away illusions especially in your perspective then you begin to become your reward. Your rewards will always be a deeper connection with yourself and the Creator; it is not given by the Creator but manifests not because of your command but simply as a product of your focus upon your spiritual pathway.

It is also important to realise that you are always achieving on your spiritual path. Do you truly have this belief?

I understand ascension to be extremely challenging at times, even at this time when you are becoming accustomed to the new energies you may be experiencing discomfort in your mind, emotions and even physical body or reality. It is not my intention that you expect a reward after you have experienced a challenging time but I do wish for you to understand that you are already your reward, you are already your present to yourself, there is just a need to unravel all that you are.

Unravelling yourself will take time but you will recognise the rewards from your focus. Remember that these rewards which can be explained as joy, happiness and bliss, they are not as a result of your hard work and focus on your spiritual pathway but they are simply manifestation of you, your truth and all that is within you.

It is now time to let go of the perspective that the Creator rewards you and your expectations of being rewarded. This expectation no longer serves you. The Creator will support and energise you, co creating with you at all times. The rewards, miracles and gifts that you perceive you receive in your reality are simply as a result of you allowing your magnificent essence to unfold more fully with greater self-reassurance.

When you are allowing your essence and truth to unfold dissolving any beliefs in illusion you are always reaping rewards. The more you allow yourself to understand the abundant energy you hold, the more you are able to move beyond illusion, where every moment it feels you are rewarding yourself from the purest part of your being.

With peace and love,

Lady Quan Yin

Israeli ex-security officials largely favor peace

This publicity photo released by Sony Pictures Classics shows former heads of the Israeli security agency, Shin Bet, from left top, Avraham Shalom, Ami Ayalon and Yaakov Peri, from left bottom,Yuval Diskin, Avi Dichter and Carmi Gillon in Director Dror Moreh's documentary film, "The Gatekeepers." The Israeli documentary film is nominated for an Academy Award. The 85th Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, Feb. 24, in Los Angeles. (AP Photo/Sony Pictures Classics, Mika Moreh)

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel's Academy Award-nominated documentary "The Gatekeepers" has won rave reviews for the candid soul-searching of its chief protagonists — the six living former directors of the country's shadowy domestic spy agency — and their somewhat surprising conclusion: That force has its limits and Israel must ultimately take advantage of its military superiority to seek peace.

It's no surprise, though, in Israel. Top security officials have a long history of favoring dovish political parties and criticizing government policies toward the Palestinians after their retirements. Those who have battled Palestinian violence with the harshest methods possible are oddly those often most amicable to compromise.

"These moments end up etched deep inside you, and when you retire, you become a bit of a leftist," Yaakov Peri, who led the Shin Bet agency from 1988 to 1994, says in the film.

In a phone interview with The Associated Press, Peri cited the well-known axiom that those who have actually used force know best its limitations and its heavy price.

"The moment you are there, at the heart of the conflict and the fight against terror, you begin to think deeply about how to end the conflict," said Peri, who was recently elected a lawmaker from the centrist Yesh Atid Party. "Just force, just battle, just deception won't bring peace between the nations."

He and his fellow Shin Bet directors are not typical bleeding hearts. The post is so secretive that until recently, the director was only known to the public by his first initial, and his identity disclosed only upon retirement.

None have qualms about the essential task of the organization they headed or the tactics they have employed, which some have called brutal. It's not about being dovish, Peri said, it's about being realistic.

"We present a facet of liberal, democratic, independent thinking," he said. "The film lifts some of the mystery over a group that is typically regarded as harsh, dangerous and mysterious. And I think that is a good thing."

The trend goes far beyond the Shin Bet.

The late Yitzhak Rabin, one of Israel's greatest generals, reached a landmark interim peace agreement with the Palestinians before he was assassinated by a Jewish ultranationalist in 1995. As prime minister, Ehud Barak, another former military chief of staff, led an aggressive push for peace before the talks disintegrated in a burst of violence in late 2000.

Two other former chiefs of staff, the late Amnon Lipkin-Shahak and Shaul Mofaz, also took dovish positions after entering politics. Meir Dagan, the recently retired chief of the Mossad spy agency, has been openly critical of the Israeli leadership's alleged plans to attack Iran's nuclear program and former military chief Gabi Ashkenazi also reportedly clashed with his superiors over policy.

Yuval Diskin, who recently retired as Shin Bet chief and is one of the subjects profiled in "The Gatekeepers," told an Israeli newspaper on the eve of elections last month that Israel deserved "better leadership" and said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had missed opportunities to advance peace. He said he had based his opinion on dozens of discussion with people of his rank.

Shaul Arieli, a member of the Council for Peace and Security, a dovish grouping of retired high-ranking officers, estimated that about 90 percent of ex-senior security officials tend to take moderate positions on war and peace.

"Our experience tells us that national security is more than what you see between the crosshairs (of a rifle)," said Arieli, a retired colonel. "We believe that peace will provide better security than anything else."

He said the trend was unique to Israel, where military service was mandatory and the conflict closer to home.

The lone exception in recent years has been Moshe Yaalon, another former military chief who is the currently a hard-line vice premier from the ruling Likud Party. Yaalon refused an interview request.

"The Gatekeepers" nomination is a rare nod in the Best Documentary Feature category, which is typically dominated by American productions. This year a second film about Israel's separation barrier with the West Bank, "Five Broken Cameras," is also up for consideration in the category.

In an added ironic twist, the films, both highly critical of Israeli policies, received funding from the Israeli government. Like many countries around the world, particularly in Europe, Israel has a national film fund that helps subsidize local productions, with little oversight of their content.

"The Gatekeepers" already has won several awards, including The National Society of Film Critics' best nonfiction film award and the Los Angeles Film Critics Associations' best documentary prize.

Among the highlights of the film are comments by Ami Ayalon, an ex-naval general who ran the Shin Bet from 1996 to 2000. "We're winning all the battles ... and we're losing the war," Ayalon said.

Inside Israel, the film has not created as much of a buzz. Perhaps that's because the Palestinian issue has been pushed to the backburner after four years of deadlock, or because people have grown numb to the conflict and no longer think peace is possible. But several Israeli columnists have said it should be required viewing for Israelis.

"For lovers of Israel, the Oscar-nominated film is like a waterboarding of the soul," Chemi Shalev wrote in the liberal Haaretz daily.

His colleague, Bradley Burstein, urged President Barack Obama to watch the film before he visits Israel next month. "Mr. President, if you haven't already, watch 'The Gatekeepers' on the biggest screen you've got," he wrote. "You need this writ large because these men explain Israel."

It's unclear if Obama has seen the film, but one leader who definitely has not is Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. His office said it wasn't a matter of policy, but rather than the premier had more pressing matters to address.

Several retired security chiefs have expressed frustration toward Netanyahu, saying they waged years of war to provide security and calm environment for the political level to engage in a peace process and it hasn't happened. Netanyahu blames the Palestinians for the deadlock.

"We managed to lower the terror threat to a level that enabled Israelis to live a normal life for an extended period," said Danny Yatom, a former military general and Mossad chief. "They didn't take advantage of this period and did nothing with the calm."

After 35 years of service, Yatom joined the dovish Labor Party and became of staunch supporter of a two-state solution with the Palestinians.

"Part of the dovish outlook comes from the realization that a conflict between people cannot be solved by military means alone. It has to be integrated with diplomacy," he told the AP. "We have to be strong and fight terror with all our might but military actions can only suppress terror. ... You can't defeat it entirely without a diplomatic option."

A long overdue apology

British PM regrets "deeply shameful" colonial Indian massacre

By Andrew Osborn | Reuters9 hrs ago

AMRITSAR, India (Reuters) - David Cameron on Wednesday became the first serving British prime minister to voice regret about one of the bloodiest episodes in colonial India, a massacre of unarmed civilians in the city of Amritsar in 1919.

The killings, known in India as the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, were described by Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the Indian independence movement, as having shaken the foundations of the British Empire. A group of soldiers opened fire on an unarmed crowd without warning in the northern Indian city after a period of unrest, killing hundreds in cold blood.

Cameron's visit and expression of regret for what happened stopped short of an apology - but made it clear he considers the episode a stain on Britain's past.

Dressed in a dark suit, Cameron laid a wreath at a memorial to the massacre, a terracotta-colored stone obelisk. He then stood in front of the monument in silence for a few moments.

"This is a deeply shameful event in British history, one that Winston Churchill rightly described at the time as 'monstrous'," Cameron wrote in a visitor book, referring to the former British leader.

The gesture, coming on the third and final day of a visit to India aimed at drumming up trade and investment, is seen as an attempt to improve relations with Britain's former colonial possession and to court around 1.5 million British voters of Indian origin ahead of a 2015 election.

Before his visit, Cameron said there were ties of history between the two countries, "both the good and the bad".

"In Amritsar, I want to take the opportunity to pay my respects at Jallianwala Bagh," he had said ahead of the visit. Cameron also visited Amritsar's Golden Temple, Sikhism's holiest shrine.

The British report into the Amritsar massacre at the time said 379 people had been killed and 1,200 wounded. But a separate inquiry commissioned by the Indian pro-independence movement said around 1,000 people had been killed in the city in Punjab.

Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer, the man who gave the order to fire, explained his decision by saying he felt it was necessary to "teach a moral lesson to the Punjab".

Some in Britain hailed him "as the man who saved India", but others condemned him. India became independent in 1947.

Many historians consider the massacre a turning point that undermined British rule of India. It was, they say, one of the moments that caused Gandhi and the pro-independence Indian National Congress movement to lose trust in the British, inspiring them to embark on a path of civil disobedience.

"MONSTROUS EVENT"

Other British politicians and dignitaries - though no serving prime minister - have expressed regret about the incident before.

In 1920, Winston Churchill, then the Secretary of State for War, called the Amritsar massacre "a monstrous event", saying it was "not the British way of doing business".

On a visit to Amritsar in 1997, Queen Elizabeth called it a distressing episode, but said history could not be rewritten. However, her husband, Prince Philip, courted controversy during the visit when he questioned the higher Indian death toll.

Before he became prime minister, Tony Blair also visited, saying the memorial at Amritsar was a reminder of "the worst aspects of colonialism".

In recent years, British leaders have begun to apologize for some of the excesses of the empire.

Visiting Pakistan in 2011, Cameron angered traditionalists at home saying Britain had caused many of the world's problems, including the Kashmir conflict between India and Pakistan.

When in office, Blair apologized for the 19th century Irish potato famine and for Britain's involvement in the slave trade, while Gordon Brown, his successor, apologized for the fact that British children were shipped to Australia and other Commonwealth countries between the 1920s and 1960s.

India's colonial history remains a sensitive subject for many Indians, particularly nationalists who want Britain to recognize and apologize for its excesses.

Sunil Kapoor, 36, whose great-grandfather was killed in the massacre, said he was pleased Cameron had come but said he would have liked a formal apology - feelings echoed by some Indians on Twitter.

"We have been waiting for justice from the British and Indian government for 94 years," said Kapoor. "If they think it's shameful, why shouldn't they apologize?." He said he was disappointed that Cameron had not met some of the descendants of those killed who had come to talk to him.

Cameron has said the two countries enjoy a "special relationship", a term usually reserved for Britain's relations with the United States.

For now, Britain's economy is the sixth largest in the world and India's the 10th. But India is forecast to overtake its old colonial master in the decades ahead and London wants to share in that economic success.
