Hi Roger, Thank You for inviting me to your Great Forum. I think this is a Great Idea.
Most all my Inpirations came from God and My Mother. They had the Biggest Impact on my Life. My Brother Next to me that has passed away in 1987 had a Big Impact on me also.
When I ran the BBS in Memphis,Tn between 1983 to 1992 I had So Many Friends that would Really go over Board when I had a Problem...Be it with the Computer, My Car, My House...No Matter What Kind of Problem I had I Always had Friends to Call On for Help.
Adlandpro, This has had a Great Deal of Impact on my Life also. I have Many Many Friends here on Adlandpro. I can't name just One as they are All Equally Important to me. Not only the Friends I already have but the Future Friends I Expect to get. I hope I lead the Most Friends on here. I want to be the TOP on Everything.
Friends to me Can't be Brought or Sold. If you can Pay to Get a Friend then to me that is NOT a True Friend.
I could Write a Book here but I don't think Adlandpro would have enough Disk space to hold everything that in My Life Shaped it to what it is Today.
Before I Retired I met People Every Single Day that had a Impact and Inspired me on my Way of Life. I dealt with the Public and met 100's of People from All Walks of Life. They told me Jokes, about their Families, Where they Lived...from All over the World... I only Remember some of the Things that People told me some of the times. But at a Moments Notice something will Pop into my Head that Some one told me that a long time ago.
I Believe....and here is a Passage that I think is So True....I hope you Enjoy it. I wish I could say I thought of it but I can't.. It came in an E-Mail to my Niece awhile back.... I want to Share this with all My Friends:
[quote} Perspective One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?" "It was great, Dad." "Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked. "Oh yeah," said the son. "So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father. The son answered: "I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them." The boy's father was speechless. Then his son added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are." Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have. Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends! Pass this on to family, friends and acquaintances and help them refresh their perspective and appreciation. "Life is too short and friends are too few." [/quote]
