RE: Another typo - Matt Callen

Checked several computers at home and only one redirects.
It's not Matt Callen, it's me.

Trying to find the source of the redirect, but it's not easy.
IE8 is the only browser that redirects.
Antivirus and Adaware finds nothing.

Maybe reinstall IE8 and see what happens.

I thought Matt Callen had a typo in his redirect.
I was wrong.

I have something in my computer that redirects me.

When I visit visitorspy.com I get redirected to
http://.visitorspy.hop.clickbank.net/?pid=91

I wouldn't even know about it if it hadn't had a typo.

Antivirus, Avast and Trendmicro finds nothing.
Ad-Aware finds nothing.

It only redirects when I use IE8.
I can't uninstall IE8.

There is a description on Microsofts pages that says
for me to uninstall IE8 I have to uninstall SP3.
Then.. maybe I can uninstall IE8

I got a "small" warning about what could go wrong
if I uninstalled IE8, and I have to say it seems
a little easier to just stop using the browser.

I don't like the idea of something in my pc doing
something I can't control, so if you have any bright
ideas I would like you to tell me. :)

Computers sometimes have a life of their own.

Spooky really.

Hi Roger,

IE6 was a broken browser. Ask anyone who does HTML.

IE7 was an attempt to fix IE6.
IE8 is the latest attempt. It still doesn't work properly on
my PC.

I switched to Firefox long ago and everything is fine.

I wouldn't recommend trying to uninstall IE as it is
entrenched in the operating system. It can be done if you
really don't want it there. I just ignore it as it will only return
with the next reinstall of Windows..
