HI Cheryl,

Thanks for the note about your forum. I wonder how I missed it. Oh well I am here now. lol

Here is my quote: I had to look it up, didn't know who said it.
"To err is human, to forgive, divine."
~ Alexander Pope

The reasons this one is so great for me is I have been working on this problem of forgiving all those people that I have had bad feelings toward. Silly, yes, but we do carry all this inside of us, because of miss understandings in the past, or what ever has happened. The other person really doesn't know how you are feeling, you are the one that bares the burden, and when you learn to forgive, the heaviness is gone and a great weight has been lifted and oh the joy that comes to those who forgive.
I think I really just learned the meaning of this in the last few years.

Hugs,
Myrna

Hi Cheryl -

Thanks for the invitation to your great forum! I think the quote below from Ralph Waldo Emerson, just one of his many great ones, is so true; if everyone in the world would aspire to live by these words, the world would be a much better place for us all!

“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children...to leave the world a better place...to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

Have a great week!

Sandra

Hi Myrna,

That one's a great quote & very true. You are so right about forgiveness helping the person who forgives by releasing their pent up emotions that have become so fixated on the transgressions of the other person.

Like you, I have been working on this and it is so freeing once you're able to let it go. Forgiveness it a gift we give ourselves as much as other people.

I really appreciate your comments. Thank you.

Blessings & hugs to you,

Cheryl

Hey there Sandra,

Laughing often & winning the affection of children! What could be better than those? (also the respect of intelligent people would be nice...though some people who are too intelligent think everyone is stupid.

So...laughing is better & the affection of children is so sweet.

Thanks for dropping by with a great quote and leaving your thoughts.

Have a blessed evening,
Cheryl

Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so shall you become. Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be; your ideal is the prophecy of what you shall at last unveil.
