Is this the mindset of our middle eastern "friends"? Seriously? Please share your opinions and reasons why I should not look at it this way. Convince me this is not their intentions.

ISIS numbers show terrorist organization yielded bloody dividends in 2013

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria is not a rag-tag group of rebels that Iraq’s embattled government has made the out to be, according to the Institute for the Study of War. It is a group of jihadists hell-bent on statehood.

The organization says oil smuggled from Syria has funded its cause.

The Islamic fanatics gobbling up Iraq have been cranking out corporate reports like a Fortune 500 company — and business has been bloody good.

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, better known as ISIS, is a sophisticated and social-media savvy "metrics-driven military command" rather than the rag-tag rebels that Iraq's embattled government has made the out to be, according to the Institute for the Study of War.

ISIS has kept a tally of the carnage it claims to have created — apparently aimed at its sick shareholders and benefactors — called al-Naba, which means "the news."

And it's written in blood.

Its report for 2013 includes:

— 1,083 assassinations, up from 585 the year before

— 4,465 IED attacks, up from 2,764 in 2012

— 9,540 total "operations," more than double the 4,500 reported year before

— "Hundreds" of fellow-radicals freed from Iraqi prisons.

— "Hundreds" of "apostates" turned into ISIS supporters, as opposed to "several" in 2012.

ISIS now claims in its reports to have at least 15,000 fighters under its command — and it's reportedly been funding fanaticism through smuggling oil in Syria, kidnappings and extorting money from local businesses like old-school mobsters.

"The reports provide measures of performance in the way you roll out details for donors," said Jessica Lewis, director of research at the Washington-based think tank. "They affirm that the organization operates like an army and this it has state-building ambitions."

ISIS is bent on carving a Sunni Moslem state out of Iraq and Syria governed by an extreme version of sharia law — the kind of Islamic caliphate that Osama bin Laden dreamed about.

Alex Bilger, who analyzed the most recent 400-page ISIS report that was posted on an Al Qaeda online forum, wrote that the Sunni jihadi force "is claiming credit for significant battlefield effects."

Bilger cautioned that "it is important to remember that the number of attacks reported by ISIS may be exaggerated or irregularly reported."

But there's no denying the battlefield successes — and barbarity — that ISIS has racked up in recent weeks, with summary executions of hundreds of Shiite Iraqis and a lightning offensive that has brought the fighting to within 40 miles of Baghdad.

"ISIS has a centralized command structure for its military campaign that is superior to all of the regional military commands in Iraq," Bilger wrote.

The organization says it converted 'hundreds' to its cause in 2013.

On Monday, ISIS captured Mosul, which is Iraq's second largest city and located in the restive province of Nineveh.

While Iraqi leaders expressed shock, ISIS reported that 38% of its attacks in 2012 and nearly 33% of their 2013 attacks were in Nineveh.

So Baghdad has plenty of warning.

Muslim Extremists Massacre Christian Village

Read more at http://eaglerising.com/6873/muslim-extremists-massacre-christian-village/#XGqL1fERiGGydeH8.99

It’s a new day, but the story seems to be similar to the one that has been playing out repeatedly over the last few hundred years.

Another day, another Islamic rampage.

In the majority Christian nation of Kenya, Al-Shabab terrorists have once again struck, slaughtering dozens of innocent victims.

On Sunday night, two minivans full of armed terrorists entered the town of Mpketetoni and began shooting. At the local hotel, the terrorists pulled the men out, lined them up and ordered the women to watch as they killed the men. Then the gunmen began going door to door through the village – at each home they asked if the inhabitants were Muslims, when the families would reply that they were Christian, the terrorists killed them.

Al-Shabab is the same terrorist organization that carried out the attack on a mall in Kenya’s capital of Nairobi last fall. They murdered 67 people there – for the crime of not being Muslim.

The terrorists claim that the attack was in retaliation to Kenya’s oppression of Muslims.

(How the disgusting slaughter of 50 innocent villagers, who have nothing to do or say about the oppression of others is not clear. The truth is that this is probably more about the cowardice of Al-Shabab attacking unarmed innocent civilians instead of focusing their ire on Kenya’s government…)

al-shababAl-Shabab also warned tourists to stay away from Kenya.

Tourists were then warned: “Kenya is now officially a war zone and as such any tourists visiting the country do so at their own peril. Foreigners with any regard for their safety and security should stay away from Kenya.”

Mpeketoni is about 20 miles (30 kilometers) southwest of the tourist center of Lamu. Any tourism in Mpeketoni is mostly local, with few foreigners visiting the area. The town is 60 miles (100 kilometers) from the Somali border and 360 miles (600 kilometers) from Nairobi.

Kenya has experienced a wave of gunfire and bomb and grenade attacks in recent months. The U.S., U.K., France, Australia, and Canada have all recently upgraded their terror threat warnings for the country. U.S. Marines behind sandbag bunkers have for some days been stationed on the roof of the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi.

… Kenya’s deteriorating security situation and travel warnings from foreign embassies has already hit the country’s tourism sector.

The region saw a spate of kidnappings of foreign tourists in 2011 that Kenya said was part of its motivation for attacking al-Shabab in Somalia. Since those attacks and subsequent terror warnings, tourism has dropped off sharply around Lamu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the country’s oldest continually inhabited town.

Al-Shabab claimed responsbility for a double bombing in Kampala, Uganda during the 2010 World Cup final that killed more than 70 people.

Tourism is one of Kenya’s most important industries and the goal of the attack all along was likely to hurt Kenya’s wallet…no matter how gruesome they needed to be to do it.

That is the point though, isn’t it? For these Muslim “extremists,” people have no value other than their ability to be used as leverage. The one constant about Islamic actions around the world is that they are constantly using innocent people to send a message to everyone else. Islamic terrorists are cowards. This cowardly act is just more evidence of that fact.

ISIS/ISIL set sights on next target: Jordan

Read more at http://allenbwest.com/2014/06/isisisil-set-sights-next-target-jordan/#G4Kg6LsXfXAEO3pU.99

Sometimes if you want to get the real story about what’s happening you need go closer to the source. And so The Jordan Times gives us a clear window into the advance of ISIS or ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) throughout the region. The very name ISIL provides a rather large hint about the regional objectives of this Islamic terrorist organization and its next potential target: Jordan.

The Jordan Times Reports that Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) have strengthened their presence along the Iraqi border on Sunday as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) reportedly inched towards Jordanian territory. Sources said Sunday that the terror organization has opened a clandestine branch in Jordan to prepare for its expansion into the region.

According to media reports, Iraqi government forces withdrew from the western towns of Saklawisat in Ramadi and the village of Al Jisser near Fallujah, key towns in Anbar province that have been at the heart of fighting between the Iraqi military and jihadist forces since late December 2013 — which begs the question, what was the Obama administration looking at during that time?

In other words, this didn’t just happen overnight. It’s part of a long-term campaign that began in Syria and has extended further. We should have gotten the message when this ISIS/ISIL took over Ramadi and Fallujah.

Despite the “precautionary” military build-up, Jordanian security sources say the situation remains “calm” along the western Iraqi border, in contrast to the country’s shared border with Syria, which has seen several clashes between the armed forces and suspected Islamist militants over the past two weeks.

However, Jordan’s Members of Parliament on Sunday expressed worries towards the ongoing instability in Iraq, amid expectations that the Kingdom would receive another wave of refugees from the neighboring country. “The situation in Iraq and in particular on our eastern border with this country is a source of concern for everyone,” MP Bassam Manaseer said.

Meanwhile, Islamist sources claim that the Islamic State is preparing for “expansion into Jordan” as it continues to push westward through Iraq. According to jihadist sources close to ISIL, the former al-Qaida affiliate opened on Friday an “unofficial” office and branch in Jordan to usher what sources claim as expansion of the Islamic “caliphate.”

Senior members of Jordan’s hard-line Salafist movement, which keep strong ties with both Al Qaeda and the Baghdad-based ISIL, had previously mediated “understandings” with the Islamic State to forego expansion into the country in a bid to prevent ongoing jihadist civil war in Syria to spill over into the country.

In the wake of ISIL’s rapid gains in northern and western Iraq last week Jordanian jihadist sources fear that the previous pacts “are no longer being honored.” “The Islamic State seems to have reached a stage that it believes it no longer must act with cooperation or even informing its partners or the Islamic ummah (community),” said a leader of the Jordanian Salafist movement, who declined to be named due to security concerns.

Last Thursday, Saudi Arabian news network al Arabiya published a map allegedly posted by ISIL depicting its planned so-called Islamic caliphate, which featured Jordan falling under the movement’s banner.

caliphate

Al-Qaida has long differed with ISIL over its approach to establishing an Islamic state in the region. The Pakistani-based al-Qaida leadership, headed by Ayman Zawahiri, has called for cooperation with local populations in bringing about an Islamic caliphate, while ISIL leaders insist that an Islamic state should be imposed by force — look at who’s winning and gaining momentum.

Let us remember that ISIS/ISIL is the resurgent al-Qaida in Iraq that was once led by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. The U.S. killed al-Zarqawi, but the organization is not exactly decimated and certainly not on the run.

The enemy has once again laid out its goals and objectives, and it seems Obama’s response was to play golf and make a worthless commencement address at a graduation in California. The enemy is on the move, and America under Obama once again looks weak and ineffective. How tragic will it be for our nation if it is Iran coming to the rescue?

Imagine what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must be thinking right now as his greatest fear, an Islamic caliphate is being shaped to his east?
