Thanks Jannette, Thank you for visiting and for reminding us of the sacrifice so many have made for your country and for the preservation of freedom. As a Brit. I see things from a distance. President Obama has a presence which has woed people around the world. With the historical election of the first Black President of the USA it was obvious that there would be more worldwide interest and support as well. Now I step back and look at a parrallel. A few years ago Margaret Thatcher was elected as the first ever woman Prime Minister of the UK. She was seen as the opposite of her predecessor. She was tough, hard and single-minded. The American people loved her, I hated her style, her arrogance, her narrow-minded views. We, like you, got the person voted for. she was seen as tough and good abroad, here she proved too inflexible and nationalistic and finally drowned in her own glory. I won't get into your politics, only enough to say there's more than one way to get a job done. Times move on and differing approaches are tried. That's how history is made. I am glad you felt comfortable bringing this here. I hads to think before posting this event here. It could be seen as promoting war but I say "not at all". If we ignore events it is at our peril. We must learn to love but be aware that even those who love in return sometimes defend their own interests at our expense. All free countries must always be aware but at the same time must be open to change and to embracing others. Roger
