Kathy, I'd like to share one of my Swedish grandmorther's recipes, that I make every Christmas ..... they are soooooooo good!!! DREAMS (Dro(2 dots over that o)mmar) 1 C Butter (don't use margarine) 1/2 C Sugar (the regular white one) 1 tsp. pulverized baking ammonia (I know this sounds gross ammonia and your oven does stink but the cookies are worth it!!) 2 C sifted all-purpose flour 1. Cream butter; add sugar and cream again. (I melt the butter in the microwave) Sift together baking ammonia and flour and stir into creamed mixture. Mix well. 2. Shape dough into 4 rolls about 12 inches long. Cut into slices. Roll in hands into round balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press down in center very lightly with finger. 3. Bake in moderate over (350 degrees) for about 12 to 15 minutes. Yield: 9 dozen cookies That's never enough .....
