Winston, Thanks for the feedback. I am still tweaking and this is what I need to hear. And about the pictures not loading on home page. I don't think I have them set as links yet. But that is another thing to remember. That squirrel. My hands were so sore from ripping all those scales off the pine cones. I don't know if I will ever do one so big with scales again. Martha

Martha, Sorry it took me a few days to get here. I must not have had this thread checked to email me when someone replies. I'll correct that before I leave. Your site is lookin' GOOOOOD! I always get caught up in your crafted gourds. It's just fascinating to me to try to imagine the underlying gourd, and you are so clever with choosing the design to match! I like the cats, as I've mentioned elsewhere. The apple gourd with the horse head almost looks like ancient Greek pottery to me--very cool. It almost makes me reconsider my ban of knickknacks in the house (they need dusting, you know, lol). I really wish I had some artistic ability, this looks like it would be really fun if I did. I'm afraid I'm only good for cross-stitch, which is relaxation for me more than anything else. I just follow someone else's brilliant pattern and voila! a Christmas stocking for my grandchildren. Oh, the site feedback...I didn't have a problem with the pics loading, you must have fixed that since Winston posted. Also didn't notice text being too close to anything. Either I don't have as discriminating an eye as Winston, you've fixed those things, or I'm too fascinated with the gourds to worry about a wart or two on the site. Sorry I'm not more help. Cheri

OK, after my last post I got to feeling guilty because I hadn't really done what you asked, Martha, and that's look at the site for feedback about the site. So I went back and looked at ALL of the pages. I do have some feedback now. In many places where you have links followed by descriptive text, there's no space at all between the link and the next word. A tiny detail, but as Winston said, distracting. And yes, on the Bloom's Nursery page, the text is close enough to the edge of the table to be distracting. To balance that critique, I have to say that I thoroughly admire your willingness to learn to do this yourself. I just threw up my hands and hired Linda to do it for me. Maybe I'm too impatient in my old age to learn something so detailed. I have a question that Linda may be best able to answer, and it's something I'd like to know about books I recommend, also. You have a whole page of Amazon links, which is great...but Amazon doesn't really pay much per order. Wouldn't it be more profitable to try to get affiliate or JV agreements with the authors or publishers of the books? I'm assuming they aren't huge companies who wouldn't even talk to you--I guess Amazon is the best game in town for that kind of book. OK, now I feel better, lol. Cheri

Hi Cheri, Thanks for all the feedback. I will go through all my pages and look for those places that need spaces. I did fix up the things that Winston had mentioned. That is why you didn't notice them. My "add to cart" buttons are working now too! I'm not sure what Bloom's Nursery page you mean. But if you followed a link to my Bloom's Nursery site you would find plenty to comment on there. That is next on the list to get a makeover. It is a big mess. As far as the Amazon links, yes I sure don't get much from Amazon but that is one of the first affiliate sites I joined. I'm not sure about contacting the authors but I do know there are a couple other gourd sites that sell these books. The thing is, Amazon usually has the best price and if I was buying a book, that is where I would head. There are some gourd crafters that have written small books that I have thought about contacting but that would probably mean buying some wholesale and storing them. I don't know, maybe they would be interested in my advertising them for a percentage of the sale. It's something to think about. Martha
