I put him up to the challenge but haven't heard back from him yet. Being a holiday weekend, he might have flown the coop. Martha

============================================ You see, everybody that I know who has given the MLM adventure any sort of a shake has come out the other end with a sizeable overdraft. ============================================ This is why I would never get into anything if I didn't love using the products. Plus, I make sure I do the things that need done with my nursery and gourd business first so I have it to fall back on. Martha

I'll second Winston's analysis on the expenditure of cards. SendOutCards.com is one of the truly good deals through an MLM. It ACTUALLY costs less to use them than to run to the store and spend time to find the one you wnt, if they have it, then pay $3-$4 for it. Then write the message, mark the post, and mail it. Time equating to "lost opportunity" is huge here. Yes, I use sendoutcards.com I am a preferred customer. I do not actively pursue the MLM side of it. Even though sendoutcards.com is a great company with a great deal I choose not to promote MLM wise because my time is focused on my own business. sendoutcards.com let's me do that which is another reason why they are tops in my book. Noone bugging me every once in awhile or the company saying you must do autoship or contact people to continue to get the good deal. I love it! PS: Gary, were you aware of the stir at the US FTC? There is a new law being introduced that would really set the MLM industry on its ear. Kind of a truth in advertising for MLMs with prejudice. It would require full disclosure of any and all lawsuits upfront whether the company won or lost, even out of court settlements. It would require average commission quotes only, not pie in the sky dreams. It would require a 7 day cooling off after these disclosures before anyone could actually join the "business opportunity" It is stated for any business opportunity but is pointed towards the MLM industry. You can listen to a conference call from Tim Sales who mentions this FTC action and provides a website to review more. Tim is a very successful MLM marketer. More information here http://www.brilliantexchange.com/ftc.aspx Tim Sales would be a good person to spar with us Gary. I doubt I could get him to the forums. I will try. David

Sounds OK but can you build a big income or is it just a hobby income? That's the million dollar questions isn't it? LOL I'm not really qualified to answer that as I have not focused too heavily on trying to build this business, but rather building a small steady stream of extra income. That I can vouch for as it's something I am doing. That being said, though, as with most other mlm's the math is there to support that possiblity.
