Thanks for your opinion Heather. Like i said elsewhere, no hard feelings from me -- just sometimes its hard when you're stubborn like me to change your thinking is all. It is possible that i over-reacted to Pater's post, but I have demonstrated good faith to my flag and my govt by doing what i've done here. I can fully explain this entire situation and my reaction to anyone who has a question, including my organizations's ethics officer -- most importantly for today, I won't loose a bit of sleep tonite over this forum. Loose ends have a way of haunting you, and I've been around the block enough times not to let that happen to me -- there is no loose end here to get at me with. Paranoid?? Uh, yeah -- I'm within a couple of years of retirement -- I won't let an online post that I got involved in screw that up. When Peter mentioned squeezing off a sniper round, that was a signal and i know how to respond to that kind of communication. Embarassed over this whole thread -- also yeah -- but is it now a DEAD issue? Yeah is the answer there as well. Sorry if anyone thinks it's silly business here on my part. To me it's serious business when you start talking about my service to my country or my day job. Just a note for anyone out there who needs to hear it -- when you make a mistake never be so stubborn or egotistical that you can't be flexible or agile enough to change course -- also, when you spill a glass of milk on the floor, clean it up immediately. People understand and appreciate a cleaned up mess -- they might not understand a mess left on their floor. Well I said too much like my pattern has been lately, but again, thanks for caring enough to post you opinion there.

Gary, If Greer feels so passionately, why not pose the positives? That to me, is ridiculous. As someone who is new to marketing online, I have no knowledge of these auto surf programs, and if I were to come upon this forum, I would definitely give it a second thought, but I don't take what anyone says as gospel, that's my point. Why just walk away....unless of course, deep down, you know what is being said has more truth to it than you are willing to admit?

Greer, Personally, I don't think that it was an attack on you or your day job, but that is just my view. I think that leaving Adland is a bit extreme, but again, that is just my view.

I'm not Gary, but if you want I can give you the low-down on both the positives and negatives of using an auto surf traffic exchange. Just send me a private message. I think this forum should really be called daily interest auto traffic exchange sites. Other pay to auto surf sites are completely different as far as the way they work. But, I will just post this opinion if I may. If you do decide to use a traffic exchange, auto surf and manual traffic exchange sites are far better than the text ad traffic exchange sites. Here's why and this is fact. A text ad exchange site like traffic swarm will deduct credits from your account everytime your ad is shown to other members. Notice, I said your ad. This means that whether or not someone visits your site, just by looking at your ad, a credit that you may have even payed for has been deducted from your account. I and many others have tested this using multiple ad tracking links. They do not deduct credits when your site is viewed. They deduct credits when your text ad is shown with six other ads on the same page. If you used an autosurf exchange, your site will always be displayed in an internet browser whenever a credit is used. Granted, whether or not someone is sitting in front of that computer is unknown in the case of auto surf, but at least your site was loaded. Would you rather have your text ad seen, or your web site seen? Lingo

Hi Arthur, Good question "Where do we draw the line?" The refernces I posted are not my own but those of the US goverenment in describing what characterises these sorts of schemes. I think it might be argued if they fit one point then that is enough to warrent a closer look at the legal issue. However that would be up the justice department to make that decision.
