Re: Strange Money #3: Pay to Surf
11/9/2005 4:30:39 PM
Hi, Carolyn, I don't know about Adlandpro, yet. I haven't been with them long enough to say whether I will make money with them or not. But I believe I will. Thank God for their free advertisement and their affiliate program. I've also used Stormpay.com to advertise. They have a pay per clix program which allows you to get paid for looking at websites. I've made money doing that which I reinvested in advertising my own websites. That way I didn't have to come out of pocket with money to advertise unless I decided to do so. Each time I advertised my websites through Stormpay.com, I've gotten an affiliate. Check them out. You might do better. Sincerely, LeBaron Washington

Question for Anthony
11/9/2005 4:35:12 PM
Hi Anthony; ======================================= I should mention that Paid Explosion is free to join, you do not pay anything to be a member & you get sent emails to surf other advertisers pages. You get credited for each 'advert' you look at. ======================================= This might be the kind of thing I'm talking about. Mind if I ask a couple of questions? 1) Do you view each advert in person, or with (autosurf) software? 2) As you earn credits, can those be transferred to money? (ie; getting paid for viewing adverts) 12dailypro isn't the kind of program I'm talking about because most people use autosurf programs to view as many as possible. (We'll cover that in a separate thread) In this thread, I'm looking for programs that pay you to visit websites. Click links. Get paid. Just like that. No investing. No autosurfing. Just visiting websites - in person - to get paid. : ) Linda

Hi Linda. Maybe I was not quite clear in the description. When you sign-up. You start getting emails from Paid Explosion. Each one contains links that you click on & some of them you have to verify that you are in fact a 'real' person & not an autobot, each link is a website. You then view the advert/website for 10- 20-30 seconds, depending on how much you are getting 'paid' to do so. You get paid 'cash' for each view, at a % of a cent... This does not sound very much, but it soon adds up to quite a bit, IF!!! you religiously click each link on every email daily (word of warning, read the text with each link, they do put in 'traps' just in case your a program & not 'real'). It is all explained a lot clearer on the site. I get around 20-30 of these emails daily. Like I said, your earnings soon add up. Your security friend in Las Vegas.

Hi Linda and other forumites, Correct me if I am wrong (heh... I'm sure someone will) but what I am seeing here is pretty much the same as what I saw with the "Paypal Randomizer" which got the "thumbs down" on another thread. What do I see? ... Like a lot of these schemes, plans - call them what you want - this surfing scheme appears to be a monumental waste of time. No, I don't have experience with them though I have seen them advertized. However, the paltry returns ($6.00, $8.00) for surfing and viewing 100's or even 1000's of pages just doesn't make sense to me. (Maybe I missed something!) Isn't there a more efficient use of time for people wanting to make money? Somebody equated it to flipping burgers. I actually think that would be a better way to make money than sitting in front of a computer screen like a zombie just looking at boring websites that you have absolutely no interest in. Sorry, it doesn't make sense to me. Gary Simpson

Now we get interesting....

Hey Gary; You're up early! (nothing new there, I know) Somehow I knew this would get interesting when you arrive. Then Winston will come turn up the heat another notch. lol ==================================== Isn't there a more efficient use of time for people wanting to make money? Somebody equated it to flipping burgers. ==================================== Um..... that was me. lol. ==================================== I actually think that would be a better way to make money than sitting in front of a computer screen like a zombie just looking at boring websites that you have absolutely no interest in. Sorry, it doesn't make sense to me. ==================================== There are other, better ways to make money. Tons of them. But here's where it gets interesting. See, I look at "pay to surf" in a different light. Let's play a game of pretend. Let's pretend that there's a single Mom out there somewhere and she needs to supplement her income. So, she writes an ebook of great recipes passed down in her family. She busts her buns to learn to build a simple little website to sell her ebook. It's no masterpiece, but it's sincere and honest and she's really trying. She's doing all this in the wee hours after coming home from work and feeding the kids and all the other things a parent does. And, like all new site owners, she's not sure how to get website traffic. So, she goes to a traffic service. They tell her they only charge 5 cents or 10 cents per click - and they'll guarantee REAL LIVE people, not bots. Real live people. Yes, that's what she wants. So she takes a deep breath and decides to go for it. She pays $100 or $200 for the traffic and sits back with her fingers crossed praying for some sales. What she doesn't know is that for every 10 cents she pays, tons of people are getting paid a couple of pennies to click lists of urls - and she's in the list. There's a lot of that happening online and it mades my stomach feel really hollow and sort of twisty. To me, it's not always a matter of "will this make money" - but also "can I accept making money this way?" You know? : ) Linda P.S. Change "single mom" to whatever works for you. Man who's been laid off and wants to support his family. Person whose spouse passed away or left and they're in a tight position. Whatever works for you. You get the idea...
