Beverly, my dear friend, it's the same the whle world over. If you 'check' the books at the annual audits of most of these charity's, you will find that only 10-15 cents in every dollar sent, actually goes to help. The rest of the dollar is spent on 'Administration' Thats why, when I was living in the UK, I only supported the Life Boat organisation as they get no help from the goverment, the members are all volunters who do not get paid & they put there lives at risk almost daily at some parts of the British coast to save others in distress at sea. Many of them have lost their lives over the years, but still there is always more volunters than places on the lifeboats when the distress maroons are fired. Your security friend in Las Vegas.

LuellaMay, I hope you are feeling better now & your not over exerting yourself. Yes, you witnessed first hand the devistation bought about by Katrina, as you voluntered & went down to help. If anyone knows what the 'help' from these organisations was like, I guess you should know better than most. Now get some rest & get well my dear friend. Your security friend in Las Vegas.

Hello Anthony, Thanks so much for the invite! Not too many things surprise, or shock me, but I am really surprised about how much money the CEO of The American Red Cross makes! I use to do alot of volunteer work for them...I did receptionist work, I was manager of the diaster unit here where I live, I worked with the Blood Mobile, drove people to doctor's appointments, and I created a Service Wives Club(for military wives)and was Chairman of it. To hear how much money one person makes with a non-profit agency sickens me! Thanks so much for making us aware of this! God Bless! Marilyn

Here is another point to ponder. The Salvation Army rings bells at Christmas. Target Stores said this bothers their customers and won't let the Salvation Army outside of their stores. I think this is sad. God Belss everyone, and pray for Target. Mahlon
