Linda - Hi again! I keep bumping into you today. Instead of giving in and saying 'woe is me' - I have embarked on a journey to multiply what has been given me so that I may provide for my family ( I have 2 wonderful teenage girls - age 16 and 18) and help those who depend on me - some in little ways and some in much larger ways. I have found a company whose basic foundation matches mine. They are helping me grow in so many different ways - and that's what they're in business to do - help as many people as possible find the key that will allow them to manifest what they desire and don't have at the present. It has truely turned out to be much more than what I assumed at first glance. Just like Adland itself - much more than what I assumed at first. I've shared some personal info with you and a few other people here but it is still too raw to share with everyone. But I am a firm believer in 'be careful what you wish for (think about) - you just might get it' !! To sum myself up - I'm open to new possibilities and view all my new friends as teachers both personally and professionally. Together there is nothing we can't do!

Hi Linda, My name is Pat Mathis.I was born in July in West Virginia. I'm a Wife, Mother and Grandmother.I've been married 43 years to the same man ! How bout that !I have 2 sons and 2 grandsons. And, I'm raising the youngest grandson, 2 yrs. old. It's certainly a job, but I love it. I live in a beautiful area of middle Tennessee and love it. I'm originally from the Cleveland Ohio area. But, I've called Tennessee home since 1976. My husband is a retired Building Contractor and I am a retired Furniture Sales Manager. He now builds vintage and antique cars and I Ebay. I was a Special Ed. teacher for the Deaf for 13 years while my youngest son attended classes for the Deaf. He was deaf at birth due to German Measles. Making me a "teacher" or mentor for 40 years and still teaching daily. He recently recieved a cochlear implant, so here goes the teaching all over again. He has to learn to "hear" the words. It's not an instant thing. Sounds and words are foreign to him. He's doing great though. I suppose that being a "natural teacher", I just can't stay away from learning and helping people. I've learned a lot on Adland. I don't spend as much time here as some, but I try to answer the forum invitations. I believe that everyone grows spiritually every moment. We have to overcome the adversities in life and grow because of them. God has certainly thrown a lot my way, and I'm still kickin'. (Too much to mention here.) I've always heard that what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. And that if He brings you to it, He will see you through it. I have a strong relationship with God. I suppose my purpose for being here would to be to learn about the spiritual aspects of life in relationship to personal and business. One has to become comfortable with "self" to be successful in either. I enjoy learning about others. I very rarely advertise anything that I may belong to. I just talk and read. Hello Linda Many people know me around Adland as Fanbelt but my real name is Bill Vanderbilt. While I do use Adland and the internet in general to market a business opportunity, I really don't spend that much time marketing. I don't believe in chasing the money. I believe in letting the money find me and so far it is working just fine. The company I represent is being built on honesty and integrity and all I do is present the opportunity to people through my websites. Running my business like this allows me the time I need to persue other interests such as advocating for the rights of the mentally ill. As you allready know, I have 5 mental health forums here at Adland and I like to think that by sharring information and lifes experiences, we can help improve the lives of the many peo-ple who suffer with mental illness. You see, although mental illness is real and it is even more treatable than other types of illnesses such as diabetes, cancer and heart disiese, often times people with mental illness don't or can't get treatment because of the stigma. Hello Everyone, I am a retired school teacher. I taught in the public schools 12 years. I taught Math, Science, and computer science in the local high school. I am a geek, yet I love to work with other people and help them. Currently I work at home at my business, DB Research, LC. I have owned this business for over 20 years. It started out as a computer sales and service business for local businesses. That worked well for awhile. The markets changed though and so did I. I have since focused on the health and wellness industry. I am also a software engineer. I am one of the few programmers that can actually program a commission backend for Network Marketing companies. Currently I develope and maintain websites for my clients. I provide web promotions, press release, and publishing services. I have recently had some fanatastic success with some new technology BBS Spas and Miracle Foot Massagers based on reflexology. I like this health equipment so much I became a distributor for both companies. Business is growing rapidly so I am quite busy what with my regular clients and the new products. I really enjoy AdlandPro. It has been one of my greatest resources. The people here at AdlandPro are like minded and friendly. AdlandPro is the best business portal in my opinion. I have some personal experiences to share with everyone. I am not sharing this for sympathy. I am sharing my story to hopefully help others.

About nine years ago I got very sick. I went to the doctors. I was diagnosed with mononucleosis. I was told to go home go to bed and make the best of it. I was told that if I stayed in bed for a solid month, I might heal enough to work a desk job.

I never gave up

My heart and my liver have caused me constant pains all my life

"I had a large family to care for, what was I going to do? I was flat in bed for over 9 months. I never gave up though. That is when I started on my own path of self diagnosis and healing. Since then I have been on a constant errand to heal my own body. I found out I have had a liver disease I have had all my life. In fact my liver has caused me constant pains all my life, just as my heart has. I remember as a boy thinking I had two hearts because I had pains in both sides of my chest. I knew the left side was my heart. I did not know the right side was my liver. I just ignored them most of the time because the pains were short back then.

I pushed my body too far

It all caught up with me when I pushed my body too far in an attempt to climb up the corporate ladder. The mononucleosis was not a good thing for my pre existing liver condition either. I did have extreme bouts of pain and fatigue. Even after I went back to work after the 9 months being bedridden I had these terrible sessions of pain. When they were the worst, it felt as if someone was scraping the bone marrow out of the insides of my bones. I felt as if I had a terrible flu were my muscles and joints just ached.

Nothing seem to help much. It seemed that all the good nutrition, minerals, and herbs were not really getting to my cells. I just had to go rest. Needless to say it was hard to keep a good job. Now, I work at home so I can work when I feel well. I can also rest when I need to.
